I was just thinking the same thing....Just pay Russian soldiers to defect...apparently their avg salary for engineers per year is 1 million rubles...Thats only $20,000. Their avg rent per month is $900.
Arm Ukraine with 50 billion dollars in tech, and buy out the best of Putins army..war over.

Elon could single handily hire all their brain power. Unfortunately there isnt much, or this never would have started in the first place..

You make no sense. Why would Russia kill their own Russian Ukrainian people when they went there to save them from genocide by the Western Ukrainians from Gallicia? How about this bit of reality from a Greek survivor from Mariupol. It's a translation from Greek Pronews.

"Because we spoke the Russian language and they were from western Ukraine from the Carpathian regions, they kicked us, insulted us vulgarly (including women and children) and told us 'you are not ours, you do not speak our language'. In other cases I saw Greeks and other men from Mariupol captured and forced to fight."

"We want the world to know the truth", says Mrs. Papakitsa about Azov, the agreements they never kept, the famous convoy of Marioupoleos, and the future of the long-suffering city."

"In the courtyard of the apartment building complex, Azov's Battalions had placed guns, four in number. From the day before I had seen unmarked men and women wearing black clothes - probably not Ukrainians, I do not know, English, Poles, I cannot say with certainty and with drawings in their hands - who advised the Order of Azov where to put the guns."

"When we went out for our physical need or to take some snow in our can to boil it or drink water, they supervised us, did not let us move away, threatened us and sent us back to the basements".

"They used us as hostages, they blackmailed us. While we went hungry, they broke the doors in the upper apartments and looted them from food and clothing - everything valuable that was in our apartments - they looted it, they looted it".

"A sick man with a disability took his dog out for a while to do his need and a sniper from an apartment building shot him in the head."

Obviously you think everyone is willing to sell their souls for the once great American dollar. Guess again!
There is no such thing as official Ukrainian anything. They say whatever they want and could give a damn if they are caught in one lie after another - as they have been.

The difference is that the Western Ukrainians are deliberately trying to kill Russian speaking civilians to take their lands, while the Russians are not retaliating on the Western Ukrainian civilians in Lviv - which would serve them right, but only on their troops who are committing the genocide.

:roflol: sell their souls for money?? No,we would be showing them there is a better way then to pledge their soul to that dictator Putin. The money only gets their attention..the facts speak for them selves. Other wise People would not come to America from Russia. Why arnt people migrating to Russia?

News flash..no one hates Russians. We understand the plight. They are welcome here as well, just earn your way. We compensate much better for it.

Please allow me to clarify. That figure I quoted was the official UN-reported death toll in Ukraine.

    And it is actually outdated.

    Here are contemporary numbers:

Currently the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has recorded 9,931 civilian casualties [in the Ukraine since the Russian invasion]: 4,432 killed and 5,499 injured.

OHCHR believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration. This concerns, for example, Mariupol (Donetsk region), Izium (Kharkiv region), and Popasna (Luhansk region), where there are allegations of numerous civilian casualties.

And after they graduate, they remain? No, they leave.
They are only there because Russia is the next level of progression. The top students got accepted here in America, or else where, or the families won the lottery. Russia was the settlement even for African students, or it was in the price range.

Capitalism is not evil, its physics.
Other systems try to fight physics..but in the end, capitalism also provides the most freedoms and benefits if done correct. Even Physics can run rampit if left unchecked.

So Russia persecutes their gays? People who would identify with that community?
Must explain the great brain drain they are experiencing. All their best and brightest are departing for greener pastures where they are welcome, and properly compensated. LGBUTFQ+ or not is irrelevant here. We compensate based on ability, and dependability.

Didn't I just say that Russia is receiving university graduates as opposed to usa's LGBTQ asylum seekers? Looks like the drain is going in the opposite direction. As long as you're happy with that were all good lmao. To each his own.

Maybe there are things about this war and you know about that I don't. There could be somethings about this was that I may know that you probably don't. The story where you got it from, I don't know what is has to do with this Russian invasion in Ukraine, you might did some research on it. I try to state facts that are true and what I think and that's all for now.

There is to problems, metal does not occupy, second metal has the problem, that heavy use wears it out and that is a problem Russia faces. Every round shaves 1/100 of a mm of the inside of the barrel. You loose the tight fit the propellant gases by pass the round, or even worse, wedge it in the barrel.
German has a nice word for it, Rohrkrepierer, that will cause the gun to blow up. After so many 100s of rounds, the barrel is used up, including the breech. Has Russia enough extra barrels and breaches, does it have the maintenance capacity.
The grind, in my opinion, works against Russia, because of its industrial capacity, logistics and maintenance capacity.
That is not Russia strength. We already see that it is unable to sustain the use of smart weapons, it is unable to produce or provide T72 and T82, has a very limited amount of T90s, has to go back to ancient T62s.
The clock in a grind is against Russia, because of the metal problem and the longer this war lasts it will accumulate.
While the Ukraine has a lot of soldiers, well trained and is now in the translon phase to NATO equipment and smart ammo.
The transition hurts it at the moment and puts it on the defensive, for which they have enough meat, but when the transition is done, the picture will probably change quiet fast.
Russia knows that, that's why they are throwing everything they have, including the stolen washer, into this drive and it is not working that well.
They are now down to their #3 units and in the South down to T62.
The clock is ticking against Russia

I've seen so many videos of Ukraine troops surrendering and I'm sure zelensky has too. Looks like he's taking a brutal stance against any further internal disputes amongst his soldiers. Barbaric.

The hard business of war . . .

In Ukraine, is the balance tipping in Moscow’s favor? Not yet.
    Opinion by David Ignatius

Russian military advances in eastern Ukraine this month have raised growing concern in the West that the balance of the war is tipping in Moscow’s favor. But Biden administration officials think these fears are overblown, and that Ukrainian defenses remain solid in this ugly war of attrition.

“We share the concerns, but for now we believe the Ukrainians are well-positioned and equipped to hold off the advances, while the Russians have their own sustainment challenges,” a senior administration official told me Tuesday. . . .
