Yes, you read right -- CALIFORNIA says that the DHS was wrong about Russia hacking the election there last year.

    Links:
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...stems-did-not-happen-california-a7970976.html
    https://www.rt.com/usa/404867-dhs-california-election-hacking/

    Highlights, with my emphasis --

"It appears that in its eagerness to accuse Russian hackers of meddling in the US presidential election, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) wrongly claimed California's election systems had been breached. California Secretary of State Alex Padilla released a statement in which he confirmed that DHS officials had told him that the state's election system had been “scanned” by Russian hackers.

“Last Friday, my office was notified by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that Russian cyber actors 'scanned' California’s Internet-facing systems in 2016, including Secretary of State websites. Following our request for further information, it became clear that DHS’ conclusions were wrong,” he wrote in a statement published on Wednesday.

He went on to stress that last Friday's notification from the DHS wasn't just “a year late,” but was also “bad information.”

The DHS' mistake in California is the second time in a week that the department's credibility has come into question, as it was forced to backtrack earlier this week on its claim that Russian hackers attempted to hack Wisconsin's election infrastructure.

Just as in the case of California, the DHS quickly pointed to another government department which the elusive Russians allegedly tried to hack – the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

SO, once again, where is there any proof to the wild-eyed, Democrat-spawned claims that the "Russians hacked the election for Trump". We've had a steady diet of this unproven crap ever since the morning after Hilarity Clinton lost the election last November.

Is there EVER going to be any PROOF, or do all these empty, radical Democrat rantings about "the Russians" continue, mindlessly, to the American cattle -- many of whom are so eager to believe it...? Are we ever going to get the liberal sycophants and their stooges cleared out of our "intelligence" agencies who have continued to make these accusations without PROOF?

Oh the irony that one of your sources is "Russia Today" a well-known media outlet for the Russian government. Thanks for the info, comrade.

Deflection is accusing a source instead of reading a fact, Liberalism 101.

Too bad for you deceitful hyperlibs that you'll find links to this story now all over the internet. Don't like RT? Fine, here are some others... but don't expect to hear one word about this from any of your rabid, liberal, mainstream "news" media:

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-...nia-says-russians-did-not-hack-voting-systems
    http://dailycaller.com/2017/09/28/d...rgeting-at-least-two-states-election-systems/

Whether you like it or not, todd, this is a FACT!

California Secretary of State Alex Padilla issued the following statement.

“Last Friday, my office was notified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that Russian cyber actors 'scanned' California’s Internet-facing systems in 2016, including Secretary of State websites. Following our request for further information, it became clear that DHS’ conclusions were wrong.

There you have it -- simple enough for even a liberal Democrat to understand.... Or are you calling the California Secretary of State, Alex Padilla, a LIAR...? :nana:

Personally I think this was said so that no one looks closer and investigates their voting systems.

Here's another one who's calling California Secretary of State, Alex Padilla, a LIAR! What in hell is so wrong with you people that you absolutely refuse to acknowledge the TRUTH when it stares you straight in the face?!

Hey, don't take my word for anything -- but if you're going to call the California Secretary of State a liar, then you'd better have something besides your biased, jaundiced hyperliberal opinion to back you up or you'll risk looking like a fool! :spin:

You're calling Padilla a troll for Russia, and because you don't like what he's saying.

    No, no, no.

    Zero election systems were hacked.

What was targeted were the voter REGISTRATION systems, which is already public knowledge. In many states you can buy that information on a disc at 2 cents per record.

You can go right now to a website and pull up information on voters for that state. This is not secret squirrel information.

That would make alot more sense. California has already refused to provide their voting records. They claim they didnt allow illegal aliens voting rights, but refuse to produce the records that prove it.

What about calling it a racist while you’re at it? That would be original.

Officials in California, Oregon and Wisconsin also said they were targeted.

In addition, officials from Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Virginia told The Associated Press that their states had been targeted.

Election officials in Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Mexico and North Carolina said their states were not targeted by hackers.

Again, voter registration information, and again, it's already public information.

The Russians could buy it at 2 cents per voter if they really wanted it.

It has always been known that Russia did not hack the election. All this is the intelligence community lying to block Trump establishing detente' with Russia. There are tens of thousands of jobs and trillions of graft and payola plus power lost if he did.

    they should rephrase that...

Russia did NOT successfully hack our voting systems

fact is, there is much Russia did and much they tried to do and failed

the other question of course is how much the Trump campaign was involved and if they tried to cover it up
