Russia Gave Evidence To UN Of Ukrainian Shelling Of Zaporozhye

In an emergency meeting at the UN, Russia gave photographic evidence of Ukraines attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear plant to the Security Council and General Assembly. The Russian ambassador Nebenzia, also briefed the Security Council on the recent attacks, some of which involved NATO-supplied weapons.

In addition to the evidence of Ukraine shelling of the plant, Nebenzia entered into the record a timeline of the strikes, as well as naming the Ukrainian artillery unit involved, and specifying which strikes featured the M777 howitzers given to Ukraine by the Pentagon.

The Ambassador blamed the US and its allies for tolerating “criminal” behavior by Ukraine – from the shelling of the Zaporozhye Plant, to the car bomb that killed Russian journalist Darya Dugina. Contrary to insinuations by Kiev and its Western backers, Nebenzia said that Moscow gave assent to the IAEA to visit the Zaporozhye Pland back in June, which was before the Ukrainian drone, artillery and rocket attacks began.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said on Tuesday that he will personally head the mission to the ZNPP in the coming days, and that the UN nuclear watchdog plans on establishing a permanent presence on site. Thank God!

Just to give you some reality, the following text was presented to the UN by the Ukrainian ambassador, and it was signed by only 55 nations out of 193. Of those who signed, 42 are in Europe and the others would be the Anglosphere as well as a few others such as Japan and South Korea.

"No acquisition of territory derived from the use of military force is recognized as legal," the Ukraine ambassador stressed:

"We remain committed to the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and its recognized borders, which reach its eastern border. We reiterate today our demand for the immediate cessation of hostilities by Russia and the complete, immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Russian forces from the territory of Ukraine."​

This means the end of Joe Biden's anti Russian front - which includes the entire African continent, as well as a large part of Asia and Latin America. All in all, only 1/6 of the world's population voted against Russia's special operation.

Experts from the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will examine the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant between August 31 and September 3, in an effort to assess the situation at the site amid fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday. According to Morgan Libby, a former IAEA official, the agency’s mission may end up being the most important since the 1986 Chernobyl incident. “Everything else pales in comparison,” he told the paper.

This means of course that Kiev will have to increase it's attacks and destroy evidence of their culpability in the attacks. On Sunday, they shelled Energodar, where the plant is located and injured 9 people as well as residential houses. The local authorities said that “the provocation” was aimed at “derailing the visit of the IAEA chief to the Zaporozhye NPP.”

A Ukrainian strike also hit a reactor fuel storage at the plant. The roof of the building was damaged as a result of the attack.

 

Maybe Russia shouldn't have invaded Ukraine. Hmmm.
