You claim to live in Texas, so what would you know about it, "Bill"? Yes, the forecast was downgraded. It's right there in black and white.

You want our rate to be 16%? That would be a good way to start shrinking our economy to a size resembling that of Russia, which of course is a fraction of ours and not worth comparing.

You need to up your propaganda game. This is just silly.

D, man?, you should read a bit. Maybe catch a clue? Possibly lay off the pravda.kyiv nonsense? What part of I own Russian stocks do you not understand? Please do touch up on your reading comprehension if you wish to reply, but I suggest you just scurry away without further embarrassment.:)

UK sanctions are failing to hamper Russia’s economy, says senior MP

    https://www.ft.com/content/a9a583b9-9b04-430e-a9ed-628ea2f5d492

Dame Harriett Baldwin, Conservative chair of the committee, spoke out ahead of MPs launching oral evidence sessions to investigate the effectiveness of government designations against Moscow on Tuesday. In an interview with the Financial Times, Baldwin said: “There’s a general consensus that sanctions are not working in terms of their stated intent — causing real trouble for the Russian economy . . . The IMF are forecasting it’s going to be one of the strongest economies this year.

Right Durandal .. think we may have another log out of own eye moment .. "No propaganda in the West- Media/Political Pundits" . wasn't that your inconvenient necessary illusion ? Indeed it was .. reality inconveniently popping that bubble that someone is ignoring.
Both Russia's Military and Economy are stronger than before the war. US unable to cajole the Nations into going along with the Sanctions .. its hegemonic influence on the wane .. along with the waning of the US empire .. gasping for air in its twilight years.

and that is quite the inconvenient truth aye Durandal ! :) .. heh heh

USA vs Russia in an Economic City Comparison

The US and Russia are easy to compare if you look at 1) dollars and 2) happiness. 1)) As an economist, I speak about dollars or economics 2) As a world traveler, I speak about happiness, which can be called lifestyle. I use two cities comparable in size and importance, although they are hard to equate. I look at the cities of Boston and Novosibirsk. All individuals on this planet add up to 100% in terms of intrinsic worth; I want to make the world a better place and help each person unlock their potential. The more freedom, transparency, and democratic societies are, the more open economic and geopolitical policies are, and the easier this becomes. So let's look at these two cities, and you tell me where you would rather live.

Very illuminating! This is coming from an American economist who has spent some time living there.

Thanks for the long-haired clown opinion. The tell was the reference to the USSR....clown boy must not know it doesn't exist anymore. Comparing Boston and Novosibirsk? Oh yeah. How about Topeka and Novosibirsk.

As an investor, I speak from experience. I'm up several multiples on my Russian investments over the past couple of years. Laughing all the way to the bank big D. :cheerleader::roflol: Russian economy is doing darn good....while Bidenomics is about to run us off a cliff. :rip:

Your imaginary investments have absolutely nothing to do with how poor and miserable people in Novosibirsk are vs. people in Boston, "Bill." And since he's lived there, he obviously knows a lot more about it than you do.

So lemme guess "Bill"....seeing as you're up "several multiples" I'll hazard a guess you siphoned off a few million rubbles off of Gazproms plummeting fortunes before it goes into insolvency?

Now that Belousov is running the show...a "trusted economist" he can advise you on how to hide your rubbles where they won't be seized or redirected....:roflol:

He may have briefly lived there 25 years ago, but comparing one of the most remote cities in Russia to the port city of Boston whereby a good portion of the east coast's economy flows through.....= a very dumbass comparison.

Frankly it's kinda sad you try so hard to discredit a place you know nothing about, other than what your fed by the fake news/US deep state.:bored:

That's a very paranoid and narrow-minded perspective. There is no "deep state" in that sense here, but your favorite country (at least from afar) has been specializing in propaganda and misinformation ever since Stalin ruled it pretty much the same way Putin is ruling it now. Putin, the former KGB colonel and paranoid, murderous sociopath, is Stalin's greatest pupil.

As for which cities to compare, I'm sure you could pick any US city of a similar size and it will still apply. He is speaking from his experience. Shame you have none to draw on, yet are so eager to discount what he says. He's undeniably correct about Russian architecture, costs of living and average wages, and obviously he knows more about people in Novosibirsk than you do. You think they're all suddenly much happier now? They still can't choose their president in a free and fair election, and the economy is not great despite Russia's monetary and stock market manipulation.

Now you're just projecting. Compare Moscow to New York City. New York City is a shithole. I'll bet you a $100 bucks you can walk around up to an hour in the center of Moscow before you see a cigarette butt on the sidewalk. Strange how they don't have any money yet they have all the modern conveniences, trendy businesses, booming construction projects, etc.

Most of the signage is in English, btw. Even you could probably figure it out/make your way around. Most all of the Moscow metro trains announce stops in English (not to mention the metro stations are spotless and free of drugs/thugs/crime).

What did the moron say about Russian architecture? Russian architecture is great. Soviet, not so much..at all. Why don't you go to your favorite city Kiev? Go to the main tourist areas. All that is Russian architecture....since it was Russia!

New York City is a "shithole"??

Let's compare tourists to either city....

How many tourists does NYC get....per year.

How many tourists does Moscow get....per year.

I'll wait for your response ..."Bill"?

NYC is where the world meets....Moscow is where Central Asian migrants go to find work?

Of course Moscow looks good...that and Pete get the most attention..."Bill"?

20 minutes outside Moscow....is outdoor $hitters and clapboard houses.

    I'm waiting ...."Bill"?

The difference, "Bill," is that they have "all the modern conveniences, trendy businesses, booming construction projects, etc." in a whopping two cities, namely Moscow and Saint Petersburg, while everywhere else is a shithole. Even 10 minutes outside of those two cities, where quality of life drops off like a cliff to this sort of thing:

It's getting harder for the vatniks to hide the truth in the internet age.

Now D you're just lying. Come on man, you're better than that (I guess :bored:). Google maps....be my guest.

I can post rural areas in the US just like you've shown. But any city of any size what-so-ever....they try to keep them clean.....not like LA, NYC, Chicago, Houston, Baltimore, etc.

Large cities are zoos anyway. I steer clear of them as much as possible. I like rural life in the greatest country in the world. It looks nothing like rural Russia where I'm at. Doubt it does in Texas, either.

That's swell D :bored:, but the topic is the Russian economy...doing well. Did you take a look at my Sberbank chart? It's a good indicator of the Russian economy...

I'll be getting another big fat dividend this year too. :)
