Well....judging by the reaction of the Orc $hitshow....it's going to be a bloody and costly summer for Putlerstan Inc.....lots more aid from US/Europe....en route shortly. By summers end it won't surprise me to see 700K+ dead RuZzki conscripts. Bilhorod/Kursk/Bryansk liberated by RDK/FRL.

I'm already seeing the reactions and shrieking on a couple message boards.

And even UAF being short on ammo...the orcs couldn't advance far.....

I'm with you. Too many posters are losing their messages in their silly pursuit of trying to appear cool (or whatever "cool" is today. I generally ignore posts that require hiring a young kid to translate into traditional English).

Lots of younger folks seem unwilling or unable to communicate clearly due to their pursuit of "coolspeak". It seems very self-defeating.

There is still a very real concern about how quickly aid can be delivered and reach Frontline Ukrainian forces. It is known that Putin is having forces mass for an offensive targeting Karkiv so it better get to the front fast.

    What's wrong with "coolspeak"?

The "consortium" here on the other side seems to use it frequently?

Could be....May 9 isn't far off....Vlad needs some kinda prize here....I'm hearing that festivities have been scaled back or outright canceled in numerous areas in RuZzia.

This aid bill seems nicely timed ....for May 9...just saying.

Lots of folks are illiterate and do not speak proper English. That makes it difficult to understand their message. If that's what they want... so be it. I live in a world where English skills that communicate ideas and concepts with accuracy and precision are considered much more valuable than attempts to be cool. No one uses "coolspeak" in board rooms, headquarters, or other serious places of communication that have real reasons to promote successful communication.

Yes...I see numerous posters here have literacy issues....even online translation doesn't help.

Yes...true...but we're not in a boardroom, or corporate head office here. So, the conversation can be rather informal.

Addressing the substance, the pro-Putin block in the GOP choked Ukraine for six months, reversing the course of the Russian invasion that Ukraine had been able to heroically resist, but Mike Johnson has now seen the light and come around.

Let's hope it's not too late.

Meanwhile, a microcosmic version of the same pro-Putin/anti-Putin struggle is being waged between Republicans in the House. Goobers Comer and Jordan were exposed in their scheme to damage the President and the nation by hyping Russian propaganda.

    Screen Shot 2024-04-20 at 9.21.52 PM.png

...The far-right is fiercely against Ukraine aid — 112 Republicans, just over half of the conference, opposed it on the House floor Saturday and he had to rely on unanimous Democratic backing — and Johnson’s decision to greenlight a floor vote could come at great political cost. He could very well lose his job as speaker over it.

It is also a major rebuke to Trump, who publicly backed Johnson at a recent Mar-a-Lago event but has long criticized Ukraine while repeatedly sympathizing with Russian President Vladimir Putin...

National-security conscious Republicans tried to impress upon more far-right members the importance of imminently funding U.S. allies. Turner, Rogers and McCaul shared their latest assessments with the group based on intelligence.

But the hard-liners didn’t care. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.)... warned Johnson if he moved forward with his plan, he would be toppled from the speaker’s job. He cautioned other Republicans that if they backed Johnson’s plan, hard-liners would attack them on social media and endorse primary challengers.

The pro-Ukraine Republicans rallied around Johnson, who has called himself a member of the MAGA wing. At a meeting Wednesday evening with Main Street Republicans, a conservative but pragmatic group, they applauded when Johnson entered. “How does it feel to be a RINO?” one asked jokingly, referring to an insult aimed at Republicans who appear to have gone soft.

Johnson gave a simultaneous shrug, awkward chuckle and a gentle pump of his fist.

“He came out of the meeting realizing that the people he used to hang out with … that they do not have his best interests at heart,” one Republican in the room said. “And a group of men and women that he barely knew are going to help him navigate through the disaster that is on Capitol Hill.”

No, maybe be real. I’m not sure why people have to portray bias so arrogantly. It’s far from professional.

Hope it's not too late for what? To get deep enough into this shitshow to get boots on the ground? Russia will take advances measured in feet for decades till they have it all unless Ukraine gets weapons heavy enough to dislodge the fortifications Russia builds as they advance. Russia owned Ukraine most of my life and I don't recall the adverse effect on our lives here in tax paying America.

I hope that the pro-Putin faction in the GOP that seriously impaired Ukraine's capacity to resist the Russian invasion has not prolonged the carnage.

The surrender monkeys will not be happy until they have appeased would-be conquerers in Europe and Asia.

Appeasement monkeys? You must be talking about the people who gave Russia a pass when they took Crimea?

Your point that Putin tool Viktor Yanukovych's deference to the KGB thug emboldened his later aggression is not without merit.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is no Viktor Yanukovych.

We needed to and need to do both. We are not as second tier country. Of course there in a POC who told his zombie followers not to pass any border security bill in order to teary Bidens campaign. That POC did nothing in four years for border security except up an ineffective fragmented pieces of a so called security wall that if it was completed would have been only partially effective even in the 12t.h century.

......I think that's a bit unfair as it was a solid consensus with Europeans as well. I suppose for context It's maybe better to view this through the lens of the period when Europe, specially London and Berlin, were under the thrall of Moscow. At the time London law firms, accountancy firms, corporations, politicians....you name it....they were receiving countless billions from Russia. London was almost a suburb of of Moscow. Point being that it's not by any means solely something you can lay at the feet of America. Europe was up to it's tonsils in Russian money and influence....
