And a new hotter war has begun.
Russians, Chinese, Iranians, North Koreans to name just a few....
“Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.”
― Thomas Paine
“Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves.”
― Abraham Lincoln
For example? And no Iran in the 1950s doesn't coiunt
Why are you hoping for a hot war? Do you have any idea what that means?
Not surprisingly, you don't have a response, simply some inappropriate quotes.
Well, at least it wasn't your standard, "we shall see."
The Cold War may be over, but the defense of freedom is an eternal struggle. Those quotes seem inappropriate to you because you don't understand that.
Why are you asking such a leading question?
And it seems you don't understand this war is about the freedom of ethnic Russian ukrainians that were/are being discriminated against and genocided in the Donbass, an area magically turned into "the ukraine" by Lenin with the stroke of a pencil.....all Russian lands.
Just to be damn clear, this war is about Polish-ukrainians/Bandera followers killing ethnic Russians that happen to live in "the ukraine" because Lenin drew a line on a map.
That's funny.....ethnic RuZZian partisans are killing RuZZki conscripts in Mariupol and Melitopol Bill....you seem to ignore those facts Bill?.....why's that?
That is simply bullshit, Bill. There was no persecution of "Russian" Ukrainians in Ukraine. That is a lie told by the Kremlin to justify a war of aggression and conquest, and a war to destroy Ukrainian culture and language along with their autonomy.
You don't try to annex territory if your aim is simply to protect people, nor do you sacrifice hundreds of thousands of lives in the attempt. That would be utter madness. You do those things to try and conquer territory and be the next Napoleon or Hitler.
According to the "poster" you know who.....Ukrainians, along with Balts, Polaks, Finns, and any other "undesirables" are basically un-persons only to be eliminated....replaced by "inferiority complex" Asiatics....aka modern day RuZZians.
Sorry, but that's a propaganda fantasy not to be taken seriously by anyone who respects the truth.
It's common knowledge for those that don't gobble up western bullshit propaganda. You fellas are probably still waiting on the edge of your seats for those Iraqi WMD's to be found.
If the two of you actually don't know that the eastern 2/3'rds of "the ukraine" was RUSSIA for centuries upon centuries until the violent overthrow of the government in 1917 that led to Lenin rising to power and carving "the ukraine" out of RUSSIA, then that doesn't say much about western education.
You also probably think Red October refers to a submarine.
The ukie bandera lovers have a history of committing genocide and persecution so this is nothing new.
The history of imperial Russian conquests over the centuries has no bearing on the right of nations thus captured and imprisoned to be free. Lenin recognized that historical injustice. The Pootster seeks to reimpose imperial tyranny.
ah...I see we're re-litigating the invasion again.....how very productive....oh and don't forget the secret chemical labs and zombie soldiers....maybe this time Rus MOD comes out smelling of roses, Prigozhin doesn't get blown out of the sky and putin is actually the master strategist?
I'm still waiting for ruZZia to double its holdings of Ukrainian territory as you promised.
How could eastern Ukraine have been "Russia" for centuries when Russia didn't exist as such until circa 1990? You can see the problem here -- it's a large collection of Slavic peoples spanning vast territory and various political entities coming and going with borders shifting constantly, and that's what Putler is up to now -- trying to shift borders in his favor by force. That is all it comes down to.
Russia didn't exist until 1990?
Why the edit D? You want to expand on Lenin realizing the injustice of ukies? (what you deleted)
I'm not too concerned with what Lenin might have said. It is, however, kind of fascinating to watch Russian propaganda turn some Americans into admirers and supporters of the defunct USSR and its successor regime.
And yeah, the Russian Federation did not exist until after the USSR collapsed. Putler is attempting to redraw modern national borders using various lies about the Ukrainians today and questionable claims about past territorial claims of an empire that no longer exists. Whatever territory a dead empire once held is irrelevant. It is the same **** Hitler tried to pull, coupled with the same lies about ethnic Germans allegedly being attacked and needing to be protected. It's something to watch people today fall for the same lies from the same kind of leader and regime. You really ought to know better.
Russia's Putin, shown alongside Orthodox icon image, warns West against meddling
Tue, November 28, 2023 at 10:04 AM CST
Putin, 71, cautioned that Russians themselves should remember the lessons of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, the civil war and the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union, which he said had allowed the division of the Russian people.
Putin repeatedly tells us what this war is really about -- he's not happy with the fall of the USSR and the consequential independence of several former Soviet republics. He wants them back under the control of the Kremlin, and he doesn't care how many Russians, Ukrainians or anyone else he has to kill to make it happen.
For someone who claims Wikipedia isn't an accurate information source....sure cites it regularly.
Try CIA Factbook also Bill...that's another "accurate" source used by the "consortium" in the past?
I understand that the United States has neither the means or mandate to defend freedom worldwide. It's a tough enough job doing it here at home.
Uh maybe because of this...
No we're waiting for evidence of the crimes Ukraine is alleged to have committed that justify Putin's aggression.
