Nope.. NO partnership between the US government and KSA . ARAMCO spent 50 years keeping the US government from screwing up in KSA.. The agreement was PRIVATE between US companies and the SAG. The US government didn't have a thing to do with it.

Saudi Arabian oil from Ghawar fueled the Marshall Plan.. and the Saudis supplied our troops in Vietnam..

If the US government had gotten involved, KSA would have blown up like Iraq and Iran.

Developing Syria's off shore reserves will be done by Russia when and IF the market demand is there. Currently it is NOT.. and they aren't going to put in the infrastructure, drill wells and LOSE money.
