    That is true as I have mentioned in other posts. China will have major influence in that part of the world if only due to geographic proximity. Siberia has over the years been loaded up with Russian, Ukrainians, Belarus and other peoples. A number of former prisoners or those who the Russians sent to Siberia due to Russian ethnic cleansing. I have not looked up what the indigenous population of Siberia is in a while now but my guess is that they are a minority now.

    I agree. The collapse of the USSR resulted from communism. The war in Ukraine will hurt Putin but not the Russian Federation. It wasn't a nation that invaded Ukraine. It was one man with an army.
