"Russia has sent two nuclear-powered submarines to patrol Eastern Mediterranean waters around Cyprus and enforce the island's right to explore for undersea oil and gas in its territorial seas, according to information from Defencenet.gr, citing a Russian FM spokesman."

Don't think this is reliable data. Greek sources are obviously biased.

Moreover, we have no "nuclear-powered" submarines in the Black sea fleet.
    So....this thread title sucks dramatically.

Tell me, what is the point of sending subs from other fleets? It is not logical. It is not practical.
    Title sucks anyway.

"ANKARA, Turkey (AP) -- Turkey's prime minister says Israel's raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla last year was "cause for war" but adds that his country had shown "patience" and refrained from taking any action"
