    Exactly. Training i the key. It takes a long time to train a Soldier. An Apache pilot takes two years but even an Infantryman takes a long time. Without sufficient training, these new Russian conscripts are, indeed, "cannon fodder".

    Russia's untrained conscripts really will be a net liability on the battlefield. It doesn't matter if Russia uses them to augment existing demoralized units which have suffered serious loses (the new augmentees will just just up demoralized to like the veterans around them) or they use the conscripts to create entirely new green units without any veterans at all (which will just be a gaggle of newbies who don't know what they are doing). Worse, they will stress already over loaded supply networks even more.

    Having served in two designated combat zones, yes, I do. It seems you do not. I mean you think untrained conscripts tossed in piece mail is some how a good idea where as I know that is just a good way to waste manpower and equipment ineffectively. We shall soon see which of us is correct.

    I know Putin lied and claimed they will be used behind the lines but Putin always lies. Always. He claimed only recent military vets would be called but quickly we see they are grabbing every warm body they can find. Even 63 year old men with diabetes and a bad back, coal MI ers with no military experience, and always no Russian ethnic MI orities. Earlier Putin claimed conscripts wouldn't be used in Ukraine but they have been forcing conscripts into Ukraine from the very first day of the war.

    Lastly, most Russian battalions were at 50% strength at the start of the war and manpower has only decreased since then. So you know damn well conscripts will get put into undermanned frontline units because Russia collapses in Ukraine if they do not. Want to bet? That is exactly what Putin has done with conscripts from his puppet fake "Republics" (who do you think is currently mostly surrounded in Lyman?) so he will definitely do the same again.

    So far it seems almost 200 000 "mobilized" military aged conscripts have fled....(as in got on planes,autos, on foot, etc)....Russia. So I can see the 1000000+ conscripts mobilized....because by the time all those who flee...there may be about 200k+ that can be sent to the front....but numerous countries are closing borders to these conscripts running AWOL....they'll need to hide in bushes somewhere?
