So what is it? First the Russian trolls claim your nukes are so high and mighty and can go right through US Missile Defense(which is quite obvious since US doesn't have enough anti-ballistic missiles now, they are for a limited threat) and US military is "useless" in handling the "powerful super Russian weapons". Okay, I am not worried. The trolls clearly have the right to defend themselves with deterrence . But now the trolls claim our military defenses can knock out their nukes from Europe, and begging us to dismantle it! So what is it?

I have little confidence if these "Russian military experts". Paid trolls probably with no independent media in Russia to refute or criticize their propaganda. They brag about nonexistent Russian capabilities, but complain when it is neutralized.(or simply make up a nonexistent NATO threat, and complain to dismantle our forces)

See for yourself. A Russian source.
This poses a risk to Russian security and global security? I don't remember anything NATO said that ridiculous when Russia started building S-400 and S-500 missile defenses. And? You want us to take it down? Or are you going to make more nukes and bankrupt yourself like you did against Star Wars in the 80s? Or are you going to act? Common, show us how "powerful" your military is and those RT stats in live action.

Are you a complete novice in politics? You should know that American military is always begging for more money because of the "threat from Russia".
    So, it goes both ways.

how many missiles does the NATO anti-missile shield possess?

how many ICBMs can it hit at the same time?

if it can't take out at least 500 ICBMs over Europe AND Asia at the exact same time, its not a threat to Russia's nuclear deterent

The Ground Based Interceptor(GBI) is the only current system in the US arsenal capable of intercepting ICBMs. None are in Europe. The US has a total of 30 interceptors in the United States located in Alaska and California. Of course of the GBI is just a single Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle(EKV) mounted a Boeing made Peacekeeper style ICBM but it can be attatched to the Mintuteman ICBM and other boosters as well as proven in tests. If attached to every Minuteman in US arsenal it would 450+30 interceptors total. The official kill rate is 57% against targets with decoys and countermeasures. If it can be attached Trident SLBM,(theoretical) it will probably carry 4 EKV, but it would limit the US nuclear capabilities.

As for the shorter range SM-3 missiles used in Europe, are only Block IAs and Block IBs which are only for intercepting MRBMs and IRBMs, they cannot defeat Russian nuclear capabilities, because Russia only uses ICBMs and SLBMs plus Iskander TBM and cruise missiles. The NATO BMD cannot intercept ICBMs until Block IIA comes, of course, that only has limited capabilities to do so.

Russia has around 299 ICBMs with 902 warheads MIRV and 160 SLBM with 704 warheads MIRV so a total of 1606 warheads capable of being delivered by ICBM/SLBM. Remember these ICBMs separate their warheads making multiple targets along with decoys and countermeasures. So if we take the 57% against countermeasures value if all US ICBMs are converted to ABMs, the US should be able to stop 273 warheads while the rest get through. Of course if the US does first strike with it's SLBM force and wipes out all the Russian Silo ICBMs which are easily spotted by satellite, the US will destroy:

    46 R-36M2 Satan with 460 warheads
    60 Topol-M with 60 warheads(they only use single warheads)
    10 RS-24 with 40 warheads

These are all just silo mounted ICBMs. Newer Russian road mobile ones are too difficult to spot. In summary the US can destroy enemy 560 warheads on the ground SLBM forces along with 273 warheads in space with their GBI forces. So a total of 833 warheads and their delivery systems destroyed, but a total of 773 warhead remains being capable of launched from road mobile Topol-Ms, RS-24s and SLBMs like the Buluva. Not to mention the Russian cruise missiles which are not taken into account in this scenario. Of course if Trident can be converted with EKV, the numbers would be bigger, but no matter, Russia can target non-CONUS assets which will destroy the US economy, not to mention EMP which can wipe out non-hardened targets.(like civilian targets)

Of course the Russians are just overexagerting US capablities to make US take down US missile defense.
