Like any other white straight males in US, we get an extra discrimination point, as "Russian = communism, mafia, spy".

So, if you are gay, you get 1 favor point, as "sexual minority".
If you are a woman, you get 1 favor point due to feminist movements.
If you are not white, you get 1 favor point, due to "racial minority" issue.
So, the most protected is colored lesbian woman. 3 favor/protective points. Favor score =3.
Russian straight male has -1. Favor score = -1.

If you are Russian, you subtract 1 point as a "disfavor". In US, due to heavy propaganda like we are usually associated with mafia and communism.

Despite the fact, that communism was invented in Germany by German Jews, like Karl Marx and implemented first in Russia by Zionists (so Russian people are rather victims of communism!) and the overwhelming majority of immigrants to US and Germany were Jews.

Also, I am definitely responsible for slavery, just because my skin is white and I am subject to Affirmative Action, just because I am white.

I am pretty sure that Russians in US are purposely portrayed and serve as a "bad whites" image, so that people would not pick up on "poor" Mexicans and blacks, whose crime rate is extremely high. Nobody says anything really outloud, when Mexican mafia is beheading people. Everybody just got used to it. But if there is 1 Russian per 5-10 years commits something, then whole country is on the ears!!! It can be a wide world scandal. So, when people see mexican or black crimes, they can point to Russians, like "look, they are white!".

So, try to walk in my shoes. Colored people hate me for slavery, white people hate me for mafia and communism, due to Affirmative Action I will get less chances to get a government job or get education in state University. And since I am a male and straight, nobody will be afraid to kick me out from my job. You will think twice before kicking out a gay, a woman, a none-white person, due to "what if they file for discrimination".

maybe changing the name to sound more american like george bush and hiding the accent will make it very easy to assimilate because straight white male is very favorable in America otherwise

I can only give you my view of russian people that come to live in Scandanavia. The russian people are a very heterogenous bunch, with many different ancestors. While there has been plenty of mixing in the prior centuries, the russian ethnicities have by no means all mixed evenly together. So there are some russians [the more germanic or northern baltic] that I strongly support their national and ethnic identity. Most russians identify as slavic, but this is not really accurate. I do not especially care for the russians that have mostly slavic ethnicity [one can tell because of facial and behavioural differences], but they are much better than italians, and certainly much more preferable to all the turks and paki trash flooding into our countries. In any case, I feel that the russian people, as a whole, are almost as good as the british in terms of their racial composition.

Each ethnicity has a right to their own separate nation.

While I do not feel that ethnic discrimination is completely wrong, by no means would I discriminate against russians who wanted to live in my neighborhood or for employment. Unless they had criminal connections that would cause me to fear for my families safety. Yes, I must admit I probahave a slight subconcious associated with a russian male and organised crime. I might feel a little uneasy until I got to know them individually.

I would be curious as to whether russian people in the USA or Australia are discriminated against. I would think to a small degree, since they would be regarded as "outsiders" with accents, and since they look a little different. But I think, for the most part, they are accepted, especially if they have money.
