The War that Russia does not want its own people to know about in any detail is escalating . The people of the North Caucasus want independence , and having been treated like animals for generations , their final resort to wage war on Russia is understandable .
Putin has a track record that inspires no confidence . He is no strategist , just a teenage street fighter who has never matured , yet became an FSB assassin and then President .
Will he try to Terrorise these Caucasus States through increased violence to submit ? Or will he do that and effectively invite Fundamentalist Islam freedom Fighters to flock into the war .
Nothing in Putin's character or background invites trust or hints at any talent for honest negotiation and binding agreements .
Like America , can Russia afford to involve itself in another war ? Probably a war that it cannot win .
If he does officially try to crush the Emirate , will he finally bring about his own welcome down fall as the opposition finally gains the momentum required for effective internal action ?
These are bad times for Russia .
The only people who will suffer for the horrific stupidity and criminality of Russian leaders will be its people -- as usual .

Martyr attack targets enemy security post in Dagestan, over 140 Russian puppets killed or wounded
According to understated Russian figures, more than 20 police puppets were killed and over 120 others wounded when two powerful blasts hit an enemy police post "Alaska 30" on the outskirts of Shamilkala, the Russian-occupied capital of CE Province of Dagestan, on late Thursday evening, 4 days before the coronation of Putin. The Russians are treating the blasts Thursday night as an attack by the Mujahideen of the Caucasus Emirate.

The first explosion occurred at 10:25 pm (1825 GMT) when a martyrdom-seeking Mujahid of the Caucasus Emirate slammed his explosive-laden Mitsubishi vehicle at the puppet security post, Russian news agencies reported.

A second bomb exploded 20 minutes later, at 10:45 pm (1845 GMT), in a parked "Gazelle" van when police reinforcements arrived to the scene, causing additional enemy casualties.

The first blast sparked a huge fire. The enemy security post burned out and was completely destroyed. Several dozens police vehicles as well as a high-pressure gas pipeline were also destroyed. The two powerful blasts, with total power of over 150 kilograms in TNT equivalent, were heard in all the districts of Shamilkala.

The real enemy casualties are much higher than officially reported because the Russians couldn't find all the fragments of the bodies of their puppets during the night time. A puppet is reported missing. The Russians suspect his involvement in the attack.

"Fragments of human bodies are scattered at the post", a Russian news agency quoted a puppet police official as saying.

At least 15 wounded puppets are in extremely critical condition and are expected to die within the next few hours, the Russians say.

The Caucasus Emirate was officially proclaimed in 2007 as an Islamic state in the Russian-occupied North Caucasus and includes Sochi, where Russia intends to host its "winter olympics" in 2014, Reuters reports.
