Los Angeles (CNN) -- Slain Santa Monica gunman John Zawahri left behind a note on his body apologizing for killing his father and his brother and hoping his father's estate would support his mother, police said Friday. Zawahri, 23, who lived with his father in a house that was also set afire, wrote a three- to four-page handwritten letter in which he spent a "larger" measure of it saying good-bye to his friends than talking about his family, police said. Authorities described the tone of the letter as "conversational talk" without "overall hatred to anything," a police spokesman said. "He was sorry for having killed his father. Has anyone else noticed anything funny about the AR-15 that is shown in the picture? It is not useable. There is no lower receiver. Heck, all those magazines of ammo are worthless, because there is no magazine well. There is no trigger. What was this guy going to do. Use it as a club? Also, what does this shooter, the Virginia Tech shooter, the Aurora Colorado Shooter, and the Sandy Hook shooters have in common? They were all mentally ill. Further both this shooter and the Sandy Hook shooter were not allowed to buy firearms legally. Yet somehow that fact did not stop the shootings. The more of these shooting that take place the clearer it is becoming that violating individuals Second Amendment rights is not the answer.
No fears, having the least bit of concept of how the liberal mind works, what I gathered is that before you can be called crazy you must first undergo 'voodoo' science treatment that would already forego you from owning a gun.. Just wait, that's how they think... No fears, they will only come to take the guns you already registered, that's all...
The tragedy is, is that the 2nd Amendment specifically says these guys are to be armed with weapons of mass-destruction.
How can you know how many nutcases have been intimated from buying weapons, prevented by the checks that DO occur? How many have been caught trying to buy weapons, or who had some and were caught? Are you saying that never happens? Or do the gun dealers do them so badly or find so many loopholes it is not problem at all for anyone to buy all the weapons they want anytime they want anywhere they want, and the police or families or social workers never say a word??

Please, explain how background checks are necessary when they did not stop the Santa Monica or Sandy Hook shootings? Why not do what will really make a difference?
