Snip: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia executed a man by crucifixion in the holy city of Mecca on Wednesday amid waging a public-relations battle with Canada over human rights. The man, Elias Abulkalaam Jamaleddeen, was accused of murder, theft, and attempted rape, according to Bloomberg. Saudi Arabia, ruled by its interpretation of Islamic law, rarely carries out crucifixions, but capital punishment remains common. Link: https://www.businessinsider.com/sau...-while-calling-out-canada-human-rights-2018-8 This is why I believe Islamic law is not compatible with the western world. I believe in the death penalty but not method. Practicing Wahhabi methods and mindset bends very little. Women asking permission to drive is considered progress? They have updated the method to fit 2018 though: Crimes in Saudi Arabia such as homosexuality and attending anti-government rallies have previously led to crucifixion sentences. Unlike the biblical crucifixions carried out by the Romans against Christians in antiquity, Saudi crucifixions usually involve displaying a beheaded corpse in public on a cross.
Yes, crucifixion seems much worse when the victim is nailed to the cross while still alive. I'd like to see some evidence homosexuals or protesters against the government have actually been crucified for this. My understanding is that Saudi crucifixion (of the corpse of the executed) is applied due to aggravating factors in a crime that requires execution, the example provided in one of my sources was the rape of a child which was then killed along with her father.
It is no secret how barbaric those islamic cultures are over there in the middle east. Right out of the 7th or 8th century. Anachronisms. So how well is western culture civilizing these moslems? Those that immigrate to the west? Are we civilizing them, as they assimilate so well?
A murderer and a thief ? Good riddance. It's still better than the cowardly european countries who welcome back jihadists and let their girls being raped.
You've been click baited. They didn't crucify him. They did the above. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...a-crucifies-Myanmar-man-convicted-murder.html
Homosexuality is not a death penalty crime in Arabia unless it is combined with murder, rape or pedophelia. You sure did clean up Jammaldeen's crime.. Is there some reason for you to be so dishonest?
Crucifixion is a rather cruel and unusual punishment similar to drawing and quartering which is precisely what the U.S. Constitution forbids. The Constitution promises a speedy trial and also by the same token a speedy execution. These Arabs see things differently. They are a different culture. Of course Islamic "law" is inconsistent with the West. The West and the Arabs are two completely different cultures.
I'd love to see some Muslims crucified as punishment for their abominations and crimes against Christians. Let them taste Christianity, right? For example, you rape a Christian girl - you get crucified; you slaughter a Christian - you get crucified; you piss over a church - you get crucified.
Nothing prevent us to do so, as long we wish for it. I'm not a big fan of crucifixion, I'm french, so I prefer a good old fashionned guillotine, and my royalist side has a keen for the wheel supplice.
Margot, go to the link. You may be intelligent but you are not smart. I posted what was in the link and cleaned nothing up. Conversing with you is getting painful.
Speedy trials are not what often happens in reality and a speedy execution is unheard of since frontier days. It can take over 30 years to carry out a death sentence.
His crimes were particularly egregious.. In Arabia they are far more victim conscious than into protecting the rights of the accused.
