A diplomat from Saudi Arabia who was stationed in London was apparently keeping a Filipina maid as a virtual slave. This is something that is common in Saudi Arabia.

The UK Supreme Court has now ruled that the Saudi diplomat should not be protected by diplomatic immunity, and can be subject to prosecution.

Josephine Wong, a Filipina domestic worker, was forced to wear a bell everyday to be at the family's beck and call. Her employer regularly yelled at her and called her offensive names, and when the family was at home, she was only allowed to eat their leftover food.

People should be far more concerned with modern current day slavery instead of worrying about a reparations from something that happened long before they were alive

A lot of foreigners in the U.S keep slaves; wealthy Indians and Asians are notorious for the practice.

story about a domestic child slave who was kept in a household in the middle class California city of Irvine. The neighbors never knew.
Girl sold by parents, enslaved in Irvine for years, is hidden no more, Roxana Kopetman, Orange County Register, February 11, 2014

The family bought the child in Egypt, not an uncommon practice in that society, and then later moved to the U.S., bringing the child with them. They made the child sleep on the floor in their laundry room, often made the child work 14 hours a day cleaning the house and folding laundry, and did not enroll the child in school.

The girl's daily routine consisted of waking up at five in the morning, getting the children ready for school and cleaning the house. She recalls trying wash her clothes in the washing machine when Amal Ahmed Ewis-Abd El Motelib forbid her from washing her clothes in the same place as the family because, according to the Ibrahims, she was "dirty."

A neighbor eventually noticed that the girl never left the house or went to school, and called Child Protective Services.

    Shyima Hall - Wikipedia

A former husband and wife admitted Thursday to forcing a 10-year-old Egyptian girl to work as a domestic servant in Irvine in one of the highest-profile human-trafficking cases in Orange County.
Abdelnasser Eid Youssef Ibrahim, 45, and Amal Ahmed Ewis-abd Motelib, 43, admitted bringing the girl, now 16, from Egypt in 2000, then making her work as a servant to their family of seven from August 2000 to April 2002.

Yes, and of course you will never see any of these commies who claim they're 'against slavery n stuff' in their south bashing nonsense protesting this stuff in front of the slavers' houses or their embassies; that would be 'racist' and lack 'diversity'. They can tear down statues though, a lot more fun than protesting slavery in the real world. When was there ever a giant left wing protest in front of the Mauritanian or any ME country's embassies, or the Indian embassy?

    Frauds, all of them.

There is only one answer to slavers of all kind (pimps included). Shamefull and disgusting that the next world cup would still happen in Qatar despite having been build on the blood of slaves.
