Once again Democrats show why they aren't serious about Illegal Immigration. Also Once again McConnell allows the Demos to Obstruct. What say ye?

Senate Democrats have blocked legislation to crack down on "sanctuary cities" that shield residents from federal immigration authorities. The 54-45 vote on the measure fell shy of the 60 required to move to final vote on the bill, which Republicans have pushed since the July 1 shooting of Kathryn Steinle in San Francisco. The man charged in the killing was in the country illegally despite a long criminal record and multiple prior deportations.

Angry Democrats accused Republicans of aligning themselves with Donald Trump and his anti-immigrant views. The White threatens to veto....snip~

Yep, and as usual BO peep threatens to veto should it pass. McConnell and his concept of holding the Filibuster true is a waste of time. As the Demos would nuke it and or get around whatever obstacles for their own political gain.

Dems Put 'Partisan Loyalty' Over Americans' Safety, Vote Down Sanctuary City Bill .....

Bill O'Reilly called it. This weekend on Fox News, "The O'Reilly Factor" host said the Stop Sanctuary Cities Act would not get very far, thanks to politics.

Sen. Ted Cruz, who cosponsored the bill, said his fight against illegal immigration would not end on the Senate floor.

“Today, the Senate had an opportunity to send the message that defiance of our laws will no longer be tolerated. While Senate Democrats chose partisan loyalty over protecting the lives of Americans, I will continue fighting to stop illegal immigration. “Defiance of our immigration laws is inexcusable. Sanctuary cities and the illegal reentry offenders that they harbor are a threat to the safety of the American people. And they must end now.

The White House argues the measure would harm “the ability of law enforcement to keep communities safe across the country and impede our efforts to safely, fairly, and effectively enforce the nation's immigration laws.” .....snip~

As you can see BO peep and his Team came up with nothing but excuses. As well as a way to keep funding going to the Demo Sanctuary Cities. What say ye?

Most of us don't like it when you have to press 1 for English. Conversely, I find it quite frustrating to have to admonish my fellow American brethren to speak the language.

Immigration is about people that come into the United States to become permanent residents. It has no bearing on people that come here as Guest Workers or such. If someone enters multiple times improperly, they are subject to arrest - sanctuary city or not. I personally don't have a problem with sanctuary cities. Who each state allows to remain as a guest is their personal business.

So, here comes the million dollar question as to how to deal with states (like California) that over-run their state with foreigners. How do we respond?

The real answer is to make sure that non-citizens don't become a public charge. Get the federal government out of the welfare business. Non-citizens should not get public assistance, welfare, unemployment, Socialist Security checks, a free public education - not even food stamps.

If the feds are not in the welfare business and each state has the burden of financing their sanctuary cities, they will legislate and enforce appropriately. No arm twisting necessary.

Well when it comes to English. The left does like to play with terminology. Another example would be one like Eric Dyson who uses big words to try and help him fake like he is smarter than what he actually is. Not that he is the only one to do so.

Yet, his English isn't even accepted by his own kind, Leftists that come from the streets treat him appropriately. While he avoids those that he can't dumb down.

I would disagree with Guest workers. As many of them do not leave when their time is up.

The real way would be to take away those cities funding from the Fed. Taking away that money is the first step. Then sanctuary cities will know they cannot afford to give them free (*)(*)(*)(*) anymore. Then Democrats know they have one less cookie jar wherein they can't steal money from the American people.
