Senator calls LGBTQ+ people 'filth,' says most don't want them here

In my city there are about 500 crosswalks and one is painted. San Francisco has around 3700 crosswalks and it appears that 4 are painted. Hardly a significant number to get your panties in a twist. How many in your town?

 

And hung in schools and given a month a week and multiple events.

Now which other group has this kind of privilege? Do we have any crosswalks painted to celebrate straight people/relationships?

There are probably more crosswalks painted to celebrate straight relationships than there are fcks that you think we’re supposed to give about this.

 

I despise the absolute favoritism over one specific group to the other. I guess you are ok with it.

Way to AVOID the point AND the question, hehe. NO ONE is saying it can't be used. So BONUS for the strawman too. A better question should be, WHY does the crosswalk need to be special at all? But I didn't learn anything NEW, sadly. You just reinforced what we all already know.

If a gay crosswalk is OK, is a straight crosswalk also OK? Or white. Or black? Or Asian? Or African? Or Hispanic? Why the NEED to to separate people? Its just a crosswalk. Or is it just another way to PURPOSELY remind everyone how special certain people need to be?

 

I'm also asking for clarity. It can't logically be OK one way, and NOT OK, the other way. If a crosswalk I have to drive/walk over everyday happened to have rainbows and messaging designating it SPECIAL for only a select group of people, yes, I'll give a ****...because YOU'RE NOT SPECIAL!!!! No one is. WHo I choose to have sex with is NOT SPECIAL!!!! But reminding everyone who you like to have sex with, is making a scene!!! YOU are asking for the attention. If you don't want the attention STOP bringing it upon yourselves.

So, no more public displays of affection for ANYONE. No holding hands. No wearing a wedding ring. No having a picture of your partner on your desk. Outlaw it all because some RWers are too uncomfortable to allow LGBTQ people to exist in public.

 

The difference is that some groups have been attacked or subdued for being who they are whether gay, black, Jewish, female, etc. Once a particular group becomes accepted there would be no need to highlight the prejudice against them. The number of, say, gays hasn't suddenly increased, just more have been willing to come out.

 

Sorry, again where are you going with this? Off the rails? Holding hands isn't special. Anyone can hold hands. Don't know what world you're living in but I don't know ANYWHERE where gay people can't hold hands or have pictures of their spouses on their desks today. I see gay people all over the place..in FL!!!! A few doors down from me. Gay people. At work? Gay people. Even my boss. When I go to a restaurant? Gay people. Go shopping? Gay people. Oh my god...they're everywhere=) So? They're just living life like the rest of us. Now I work with what I'd call, normal functional people who also happen to be gay. Many of them. They're not crazy like I see on TIkTok or the news, hehe. Couldn't hold a job where I work, being THAT unhinged. Just like I don't see Maga Hat wearing crazies in my office either. But I see them on the street=)

Now when they stand in the middle of street holding signs and block traffic so I can't get to work or the store, that would be different. Then they're a nuisance.

Hosting a parade based around your sexual preference should come with an R rating. Aside from that have whatever parade you want. But asking everyone else to recognize this week or this month as special because of your sexual preference? Having your flag hung at schools or painted on sidewalks is just further arrogance.

Pride Month has been around since the Clinton era, this ain’t a new thing and you bitching about it on a forum when you could easily ignore it and move on with your life like any normal person would is not going to change that. And if it being painted on a sidewalk is irking you that much, then you should learn to swing from trees like fcking Tarzan.
