I mean whether the guy I supported won or not, I have never had my life change much as a result.

I am genuinely curious. If yours has, please reply with the details.

Yep. Barack Obama set me on my right wing journey. I was pretty apolitical before him.

If you watch the over-arching liberal reaction to the 2016 election, you have to answer "yes".

    Has my life.changed?

    Potentially.

The economy, in my opinion, appears ready to melt down. Interest rates are rising, it appears to me, faster than they should to slow the meltdown, making purchasing a new home more expensive. Spending remains out of control. Rolling back restrictions meant to curb global warming appears to be ****ing the nation and me persoanlly, as the future looks much more bleak.

I suppose I did not fight in Viet Nam because of the actions of Presidents Nixon and Ford. I served in the Army from 74-77.

Generally speaking, presidents usually act as cheerleaders for things, but it is the Congress that actually does things that affect us.

Not really much. I had some health issues that weren't covered before Obama and were after, but they weren't that serious and it didn't change my political opinions about him. I did change jobs after Trump won and his trade policies had something to do with it, but they were only a minor consideration.

Actually change, no. However I have to admit being 84 years old gives me a feeling of comfort I never thought I would appreciate. I will likely not be around to see the colateral damage that's going to result from what is happening right now. An example being climate change.

Hysteria and drama don’t count, I mean actual negative or positive impacts.

It is an answer, just not one supporting your predisposed thoughts on the matter.

Yes, I've never hated both political parties and the entire United States government as much as I do now. Before I didn't think that was even possible until now.

I work with small businesses and I try to avoid politics however after Obama was elected, many expressed anxiety over the heavy onslaught of regulation especially during the first four years.

I was planning to buy health insurance privately ...not wanting to depend on my employer....there were good options available, but my options disappeared when Obama was elected.

I enjoyed eight wonderful years being homeless off and on 2007-2015, no one despises Obama more than I do.

Imagine being a white male looking for work in urban cities throughout Obama's miraculous economy, thank goodness I've moved out of the cities into a rural setting now. One of those cities had a 35% unemployment rate.

Yes... The tax cuts will provide extra cash to be used for a new boat.

My twenty dollars extra per month from tax cuts go to cigarettes and booze, so much winning!

When you're able to have higher interest rates it's generally because your economy is strong. Disaster cases like Japan need negative interest rates to prevent recession.

The best thing Jimmy Carter ever did was appoint Volcker to the Fed, who tightened monetary policy with high interest rates. Very positive indeed.

Spending is indeed a big issue. Republicans are addicted.

You don't think the wholesale substitution of hysteria, hyper-drama, outrage and violence for rational discourse qualifies as a negative impact?

No it is a personal problem of lack of self control not caused by the President!

Translation : ****, that TFM once again injected a bit of fact and observation instead of joining the circle of Trump praise. Drat! He is as smart as he is handsome.
