Anyone else watching this ? My biggest takeaway is the nonsense of the protestors every 5 minutes. They are really making you libs look foolish. Same stupid chant and big mouths. I wonder how much they are getting paid. Sessions seems to be doing fine so far

    Such an embarrassment.

There is going to need to be an "alt-left" because I know there are old school Democrats out there who cannot believe that their party has been taken over by a bunch of radicalized infantile militants.

I know this because of the scores of people who twice voted for Obama and who are now Trump supporters.

One has to wonder why they are allowed in to begin with... Two at a time seems staged.

It really is a shame what has happened to a once decent party. Guys like Truman and Kennedy are rolling over in their graves. What a classless bunch of babies.

Dude dressed in a Klan robe and was arrested...

First thing he brought up was that he was white, so he couldn't be arrested.

Why is the left so obsessed with race? It's odd.

WASHINGTON — A group of black pastors Monday criticized African-American opponents of attorney general nominee Sen. Jeff Sessions for demonizing the Alabama Republican, instead characterizing him as someone who shows “respect and care for people of all races.”
“There is an attempt by some to demonize people and call them racist when there is actually no proof for it,” Evangelical Bishop Harry Jackson said at a Capitol Hill news conference. “Let me say clearly, Sen. Sessions is not a racist.”

Democrats Helpless as Sessions Heads to Hill
Liberals without the votes to torpedo AG confirmation prepare to 'dirty up' Alabama senator
Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, said Democratic opposition to Sessions is not really about defeating him.
"He's guaranteed to be confirmed," he said. "Democrats know this. The point of this is to dirty up Sessions as much as possible … A lot of this is just performance art for their base that just can't believe Trump won."

Let them have their little hissy fit. When they turn the cameras off they'll slink back to their safe spaces and Jello pudding.

I hope they keep it up, and, I hope the same bunch of morons show their asses to the world on Trump's inauguration day. It is exactly THIS kind of nonsense that conveys to intelligent, Middle Class working taxpayers what a stupid, tiresome clot of bigoted idiots these delusional "adult-children" really are. They all need to go back home to Mommy and Daddy's basement, suck on their thumbs, and wait for the postman to deliver this month's government welfare checks....

[IMG]."Nuthin' cool on TV, so I think I'll go down to the Capitol Building and raise hell about Trump's people...."

The protesting can be justified looking at Sessions' political positions. For example:

    1. In 2005, Sessions spoke at a rally in Washington D.C. in favor of the War in Iraq. Sessions said of the anti-war protesters, "The group who spoke here the other day did not represent the American ideals of freedom, liberty and spreading that around the world. I frankly don't know what they represent, other than to blame America first."

I'm sorry, but I didn't know putting "America First" was sending and killing our own, in one of the most bloodiest and unnecessary wars. Here's another.

    2. Sessions is considered one of the most conservative members in the US Senate. He has received a zero rating from the Human Rights Campaign, the largest advocacy group for LGBTQ rights. Sessions voted in favor of the Federal Marriage Amendment in both 2004 and 2006, a US Constitutional Amendment that would have restricted recognizing marriage to only that between a man and a woman.

Given, along with the heroic and historic ruling from the SCOTUS on LGBTQ rights, essentially giving this community a voice, having someone who is n opposition to the rights of this community is contrary to the America that is evolving. And then there's this:

    3. Sessions is against legalizing marijuana for medical and recreational use. He is quoted in saying, "I'm a big fan of the DEA." Sessions was "heartbroken" and found it "beyond comprehension" when President Obama claimed that cannabis was not as dangerous as alcohol. He is quoted in saying it is important to foster, "knowledge that this drug is dangerous, you cannot play with it, it is not funny, it's not something to laugh about... and to send that message with clarity that good people don't smoke marijuana."

Okay, so unlike alcohol, you cannot overdose on marijuana. You will pass out before you overdose. Secondly, I didn't know people taking marijuana for medical conditions, like epilepsy or bone pain, were immediately bad people. I thought we were better than to come to such kneejerk reactions like that in America. These flawed reasons, and reasoning on Sessions' part, are why liberals are up in arms about him. And justifiably so.

I don't know about that, every time they reach a new level of idiocy one of them strives to set a new level of stupid. I am no longer surprised at anything they do

It's all they ever had, the same asinine political rhetoric goes back before many of us were born. Go back far enough and you'll meet their demon Nathan Bedford Forrest, Democrat and founding father of the Klu Klux Klan, personally I think they're over compensating for their party's past sins against humanity!

Too bad you wish to ignore his stellar reputation and history for partisan hate. There is nothing the democrats or liberals can do about his confirmation due to Harry Reid's Nuclear Option, the most idiotic thing any democrat has ever done but we welcome democrat idiocy because it so often backfires.

This is my primary complaint about Sessions. We've made a lot of progress recently in "allowing" citizens to do what they want with their own bodies. Now we've voted in someone who thinks the government should be in charge of our bodies. Anti liberty.

Anyone who claims MJ is more dangerous than alcohol is clearly not intelligent enough to be in a leadership position.

He has constantly said he will uphold the law.. that afterall is the job of the AG be it state or US. You can disagree with a law but a law you have to uphold. The AG doesnt write nor vote on laws...

    You are welcome.

Sessions will be tasked with following the laws that Congress passes, unlike Holder has done. You may not like following the law but this is a country of law an the Obama administration has done great damage to that.

Thanks to Obama, our prison population has been declining. Not sending pot smokers to prison has had an impact. Anyone who cheers for putting pot smokers in prison is about as anti-liberty as you can get. I do not respect the authority of government to regulate what I can put in my body.

Sessions had a great reply to Durbin, who was of course hinting at amnesty.

And why? Because they didn't win. Acting like this because you didn't get what you wanted is the epitome of immaturity.

All presidents choose which laws they will and will not enforce. They call it prioritization. All presidents learn that they do not have the resources to fight every battle.

To be fair, they think their world is coming to an end because they think that anyone that does not think like them are somehow 'evil'. It is that irrational thinking that drives them to hysteria.

The AG reports to the President. Are you aware of this?

    - - - Updated - - -

Minorities, LGBT community, Muslims are legit concerned that president Trump will do the things he said he would. I don't think they should panic, though. If he continues on this path, he won't be doing ANYTHING he said he would do. He's already back peddled on Obamacare and the YUGE wall Mexico will pay for.
