    Wow, what a brave woman. It took a woman to finally stand up to the new world order shut down! The lieutenant governor had even offered to take her place in jail so she could work in her salon. Oklahoma salons are all open next door. It had to be hard for her to do that. Anyway, you rock Shelly!! Enjoy your freedom.

    I guess next time they will have to declare martial law. But then the real problem was that Texas wasn't providing her enough money to feed her children.

    Or was she lying about that and its really about her income level. Was she really THAT hard up? Dunno. But it goes without saying that if the government orders a quarantine, they can't leave people to starve to death for lack of income.

    Republican Governor. Go figure. :rolleyes:

    She started a go fund me before she opened her store.

    She was contacted by wokepatriots and they set up this for some kind of dramatic effect.

    How much of her half million she giving her employees who “boo hoo” want to feed their family?

    Human rights and civil liberties are no dramatic effect. And what they were paying for, was to help her get a lawyer to fight this absurdity. Luckily, Gov Abbott is probably one of the smartest governors in the country(not a high mark to be sure, but still) and aided in the side of justice.

    In 2024, he might just be a Republican nominee for President. Certainly ten times more capable than Cuomo.

    She is endangering all our lives. She should be arrested and charged with attempted murder. At the least she should be institutionalized as a menace to the public.

    She's not a hero.

    I wouldn't call her a villain though either. I can sympathize with her motivations. But she was still wrong to do what she did. Let me expand on that. She was wrong to repeatedly do what she did, because she didn't get arrested on the first day she was open.

    I could be more sympathetic if her business didn't involve continuous close contact between people and if it was even remotely essential. All the cleaning in the world is not going to prevent two people in close contact from spreading the virus which is why businesses that involve that kind of close contact are among the last to be opened by responsible governments. But none of the opposition is about responsibility or maturity or anything remotely laudable in the first place.
