Just curious how that might go over politically, and what the economic repercussions might be. Whether or not one supports a minimum wage should be irrelevant, since the question would be moot if there was no minimum wage in the first place. I feel this is something both sides can support ideologically and could conceivably fix some of the issues facing the American middle class, barring some variable which I haven't thought of that I hope someone will bring to my attention in this thread.
Here is a link to a liberal site discussing this proposal. Should be fun to have the conservatives hating on me for a change! http://theprogressivecynic.com/2012/11/19/stop-outsourcing-by-creating-a-global-minimum-wage-for-american-corporations/
Big government advocates use the government like the Mafia uses its goons. If you don't give me what I want, then I will force you!
No and why would anyone even consider that? - - - Updated - - - ya maka ta lama ugh krata haba who - yup and your post did not make any sense either IMHO
so if I set up a subsidiary in another country, that subsidiary is not American, and it does not have to abide by American laws. Sorry, but your idea won't work.
The usual reply from the big government advocate. Which is no reply at all. He selfishly uses the government to take from others.
All workers are entitled to a generous minimum wage of at least $15.00 an hour. They do work hard for their money.
