Makes sense. Leftys need at least one day where they are allowed to act foolish. Right-wingers get the other 364. Sort of mirrors the right-wing views on wealth as well. Keep all but a few crumbs for yourself and then pretend the system is fair and equal.
We already have a couple of Marxist days: May Day is a traditional communist holiday. Earth Day, April 22, is Lenin's Birthday. This celebrates how Leftists best help the environment by adding millions of dead victims in ditches and killing fields to fertilize it.

i wouldn't associate directly communism and neoliberalism (leftism). Most lefties are not commies, just want free stuff.
commies believe everyone should work equally, as where leftist believe work is something you pay illegal immigrants to do for slave wages.
