The Saudis are our oldest and most loyal allies in the Middle East.

Middle East forum is a hack job and a hate site.

Further the Russians are NOT threatening the Saudis.. They are jointly building the largest refinery in the world in Russia.

Bandar is one sharp cookie as was his father Prince Sultan..

Bandar was NOT close to OBL... who was one of 57 brothers who are excellent businessmen and pro-American.

So what you have here is another hit piece from MEF that is full of lies. The US is not going to bomb the Saudis.

And as a practical matter... if you take 11 million barrels of oil off the market... you would bring on a world wide depression that would make the current economic situation look like a walk in the park.

I don't think that's true at all.. and, I don't think OBL did it either.

The conspiracy was small, inexpensive and closely held.. It was cooked up in Hamburg and in London.. I suspect that the "muscle" didn't know it was a suicide mission.

Yeah, the Saudis are about the only good relationship the U.S. has going in the middle east - excepting Israel, of course. So keeping a good relationship with them should be essential, at least until the rest of the world doesn't really need their cooperation on the world petro market.

After they've sacrificed all their hard earned petro dollars on survival, we can consider redirecting the missiles. Of course, the U.S. better be prepared to pull up stakes and haul ass out of the ME really, really fast.

How did they pull it off with how many, I mean get the aircraft to be flown into the buildings and cover up the scheme? And, were they sure the buildings would fall or was that just a bonus? And what of Bin Laden, is he a simple invention and if so, why were over 190 nations on earth believing he was responsible and how were they fooled?

Спасиба South Pole Resident, Thanks for posting the article on Saudi mischief.
Don't see the USA going against the Saudis as they financed the election of the current regime.
Russia probably can't do it either because they have US, Israeli, Saudi and Pakistani nukes pointed at them.
    But, Syria might do something.
The Syrians, Damascus, fire bombed Mecca back in the 7th Century. They may yet get a chance to finnish the job.

Haven't you heard the name Atta? Not all the terrorists were pilots.

Aside from not answering any of my questions, how is Atta and the controversy surrounding the initial mistaken ID relevant to your overall contention?

I see. How small, one guy, two, maybe three? And they only planned on steering aircraft towards a building but never hitting it or what? And how on earth did they pick aircraft that had max fuel loads and did they expcet those ac to bring down the towers and how did they pick the time of day or even year to ensure they had enojugh passengers to mix covertly with and not enough to obstruct the taking of the aircraft - by luck? and how ere they funded for the amount of time they were in the us without being found out by the amount of money that was transferred to them as none of them were doing the pick up and banking?

I know it was a much larger conspiracy, about a hundred Al Qaeda at least.

Bin Laden says he wasn't behind attacks

    September 17, 2001

    http://cgi.cnn.com/2001/US/09/16/inv.binladen.denial/

Tuesdays are generally a slow day for the airline business... and there no trick to hitting a building.. Its not like they were going to recover from the maneuver.

Plus, while the pilots knew it was a suicide missions its unknown whether the muscle knew.

Why would the whole thing have cost more than a half million $$?

    Strange, he confessed to them.

Such an honorable fellow. You of course believe him above all others.

    Pffty

Yep. Don't want a full aircraft as it makes it chancy to control 200 plus people.

Which is why they never concentrated on landings in their flight instruction sessions.

"Unknown." Yep, sums up total backing for your conspiracy theory.

19 guys n place for a year, runners with messages, clerics to run to and fro, bringing hijackers back to Europe and the ME, flight classes, operatives passing messages behind normal lines via various cities and channels to avoid detection, I'd say it was more like five million to tell the truth as many of them were being watched

Then again, I'm not the one who is saying it was carried out by only a small group so perhaps you can explain how it was done so by such a small group rather than wriggle around.

They only got away with it because it was a small conspiracy.

Clerics and trips back and forth to Europe?

Saudi Arabia, as the standard bearer of Islam,
I think they do have good reasons, lasting peace in the middle east, perhaps.

The focus of the SAG has always been to insure the social and economic future of the Saudi people.

Meetings? Sorry, there were no "meetings" as the entire purpose was to avoid being seen "meeting" but rather take circuitous routes which cost lots of money in airfare and hotels to avoid being seen taking direct routes to meet. All of the twenty direct hijackers were flown to and from Asia, Europe and Africa to the US to attend schools and receive incentive training as well their clerics who were under the watch of US intelligence were as well. None were connected with each other directly which cost millions of dollars and, that money was sent via couriers in increments of less than a few hundred dollars to avoid setting off alarm bells in the intel community. To move that amount of cash in those increments takes dozens of others to pick up and send hence, it was no small conspiracy.

Anyhow, it is in that link, if you need more info please provide your own case prior to ignoring the evidence I have supplied and just prove you own as I have requested.

I seriously doubt it was as complicated as all that. The US consulate in Arabia had .. since the 1950s.. streamlined student applications for visas. With fake IDs we still don't know 6 of the hi-jackers real identities. You can move $9,000 without settling off bells.. and most of the terrorists were NOT pilots.

It doesn't appear that there was more than one cleric involved... None of these guys were exactly pious Muslims.
