In order to foster transparency in the federal government, I propose that all congress and senate members be required to wear body cams. These will be worn when conducting both official and "unofficial" government business, in order to record their actions for public review.
Why not the lresident as.........sorry worked it out just threw up into my mouth at the thought of what I might see But then to see that it would have to have a magnified attached
Maybe if there is an exception for when they're working with classified information. Got to be careful about that. But then, we already have cameras rolling in the chambers. We can tune in to C-SPAN and keep an eye on them. Most people just don't bother. It's nowhere near as much fun as watching Mark Dice on YouTube
I would love it, and the President and his admin, including the DOJ and make their calls avail to public under freedom of information act... sure they could mark some classified, but have those reviewed by two other departments, members of all parties have to be members of both groups
Many years ago I was a packinghouse union steward. This included then meeting with management over issues and grievances, often involving negotiating and making deals, plus candidly talking about both management and union employees - not always complimentary by any side. A few members would bitterly complain these negotiations should be public for which any member who wanted to watch and listen could attend. However, were that done exactly nothing ever would be accomplished and negotiations impossible. This is a really dumb idea. It would be impossible for any member of Congress to negotiate or truthfully discuss nearly anything - knowing that any 6 seconds of less-than-perfect word choices could destroy them. Instead, each would just say carefully worded short talking points prepared by political consultants. The OPer should wear a body cam with visual and audio recording that is automatically put online and preserved online for anyone to see except when in his own house. That way we all can example every single word he says and what he is doing or not doing every second he's not a home. I suppose, all employers could require this too. Bad idea. The only thing we really need to know about any politicians is what they do in terms of voting on legislation as that is all that matters.
