At least in the case of Melania, Trump's defense in the Stormy Daniels case is, in part, that he paid the money because if the information became public it would harm his marriage so the money involved was not part of his campaign for President.

The money was paid via Michael Cohen then reimbursed to him after Trump won the election using his personal money.
Trump's intent was to pay 2 women hush money before the election as to not lose support etc.

As far as his marriage excuse about Melania that was pure BS because in late October 2016 he's on record telling Cohen to try and put off the 140.000 to Stormy until after the election because if the news becomes public it won't matter if he's won.

 

Government has no business accepting or rejecting religions. See the first amendment to the constitution. DeSantis, however, is entitled to his opinion even if it is unconstitutional.

 

I'm conflicted because I agree with DeSantis sentiment, but I also agree with all the many differing responses on this topic, pro and con. Self rule is a hardship for the want of a better destiny, as there are no more righteous universes to which to appeal for understanding and direction for our own. I dunno. I met Trump when I lived in NYC, but it was business and quite brief. He's an arrogant a$$, which is pretty typical of rich semi-celebrities who live and work in Manhattan, but we had no personal relationship at all so I don't know what he and his exes did for fun. However, I have seen people who's name you would know if I were to disclose it at some of our soirees, including a high-level tech executive and her hubby.
