Should these persons be in jail and paying tens of thousands in fines and have criminal records?

Oh, so it's not the fact that thousands of people got arrested , tried and went to jail outside of Florida,
your complaint is that it didn't receive enough MEDIA COVERAGE ?

Try again she was not involved in any violence why do you keep falaciously claiming she was?

So you think for walking through the bulidling after the Capital Police let her in and then ten minutes later she leaves after merely walking through is deserving of this sentence? A GRANDMOTHER?

Prove it then, how many for simply walking down the street were sentenced to prison?

You try again. Go read your own post, including the Statement of Facts.

And please quote where I accused this specific individual of committing an act of violence ?

Why do you keep claiming , falaciously, that this particular person was escorted into the building ?

    Hmmm

By replying to his question of whether the people that entered peacefully and left after 10 minutes should be prosecuted with the above, I would say by implication that is precisely what you did.

His reply was not a strawman in any way. You mentioned broken windows and he directly replied to that notion. Just because you used a little sarcasm and innuendo doesn't mean he didn't reply to your very clear intent.

That's an accusation, can you support it with any facts?
    You (me)
what was the political persuasion of the rioters in Minneapolis in 2020

    Copilot
"The political persuasion of the individuals involved in the 2020 Minneapolis riots is complex and varied. The protests began as a response to the murder of George Floyd and quickly inspired a global movement against police brutality and racial inequality1.

President Donald Trump and some of his top officials accused “radical left” agitators, including Antifa, a network of confrontational, autonomous far-left groups, for the mayhem2. Some Democratic governors, on the other hand, blamed far-right groups2.

Members of the so-called “Boogaloo” movement, an amorphous collective with far-right and far-left elements, were seen at protests in some states2. Some “Boogaloo” adherents are part of a broader movement of white supremacists called “accelerationists,” who welcome civil disorder and want to foment violent political polarization2.

However, it’s important to note that the majority of the protesters were peaceful, and the individuals involved in violent activities represented a small subset of the protesters12. The motivations and political affiliations of these individuals likely varied widely. It’s also worth noting that the protests were largely about systemic issues such as police brutality and racial inequality"

    You (me)
Were the 2020 rioters let off without being prosecuted.
    Copilot
"No, the claim that the 2020 rioters were let off without being prosecuted is not accurate. In fact, thousands of protesters were arrested in 20201. An Associated Press review of court documents in more than 300 federal cases stemming from the protests sparked by George Floyd’s death last year shows that dozens of people charged have been convicted of serious crimes and sent to prison2. More than 120 defendants across the United States have pleaded guilty or were convicted at trial of federal crimes including rioting, arson, and conspiracy2. More than 70 defendants who’ve been sentenced so far have gotten an average of about 27 months behind bars2. At least 10 received prison terms of five years or more2. Therefore, it’s clear that many individuals involved in the riots faced legal consequences for their actions."

Most of what you post is RW boilerplate nonsense. In fact much of the actual violence was instigated by people from the right that went to the, otherwise peaceful, protests to cause trouble and violence.

    Not correct.

I "think that" because it is true and I am capable of interpreting that which is right in front of my face.

His reply was not a strawman in any way. You mentioned broken windows and he directly replied to that notion. Just because you used a little sarcasm and innuendo doesn't mean he didn't reply to your very clear intent.

My observation is undeniable and pointing that out is not an example of "trolling" in any fashion.

    Sorry.

no, there were peaceful protestors and there were rioters and looters - not the same group

just like on Jan 6th, the peaceful protestors did not force their way in violently into the Capital, they stayed out of it, and peacefully protested

Yes, it was on the news, night after night, but since you depend on the lame stream press and TV stations, you didn't know about it. Here's a couple links if you have any interest at all. These kind of things can't be taken lightly. They are acts in insurrection that are just as bad as January 6, except they went on for weeks.

You have unwittingly proved my point.

After a lengthy deliberation that’s been rare for Capitol breach cases, Falcon resident Rebecca Lavrenz, known on social media as the “J6 Praying Grandma,” was convicted on all four federal misdemeanor charges for her participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, protest of the 2020 presidential election results in Washington, D.C.

The trial began March 25 in federal district court in the District of Columbia and ended after nearly 26 hours of deliberation, a 12-member jury found Lavrenz guilty of entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a capitol building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a capitol.

As much as you need this to be about "being strung up on charges by President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ)" it was actually about grandma being given an opportunity to defend herself in front of a jury and found guilty.

Did you see the videos of Capitol Police opening the door and giving tours of the Rotunda and adjacent areas?
Let me be clear: anyone that can be proved to have participated in violences or attacked cops, etc, deserves whatever justice awards them. Those that wandered around after being granted admission by CP are guilty of a misdemeanor at worst. Oh, and the Cps that let them in should probably face some disciplinary action as well.

Was it ANTIFA that attacked and defaced the Seattle courthouse in 2020
    Copilot
"Yes, there were instances where Antifa was involved in attacks on the federal courthouse in Seattle in 20201. During the Antifa riot that took place on the West Coast during Joe Biden’s inauguration, a federal courthouse was vandalized1. The William Kenzo Nakamura Courthouse had multiple windows shattered1. This attack also damaged one of the United States’ historic buildings in the West1. However, it’s important to note that the individuals involved in these destructive activities were a small subset of the protesters1. The majority of the protests were peaceful, with people voicing their concerns over systemic issues1."

So, even though what happened in Seattle wasn't a threat to OUR Constitution, Government or way of life ... if you want to call it an insurrection ... fine. But, then, IF it really was an insurrection isn't it fair to call what happened on January 6th 2021 at the Capitol where Millions of dollars in damage was done, 144 ++ Capitol Police officers were sent to the hospital - some with career ending injuries, AND while the mob was chanting "hang Mike Pence, hang Mike Pence" tRaitor tRump tweeted, so the mob could see it, that Mike Pence was a turncoat that failed to save Democracy. IF one was an insurrection then weren't they both and aren't the people that have been convicted of attacking the Capitol, legitimately in jail for crimes against our Nation?

It's so funny to me. Before Jan 6th, right-wingers got to strut around criticizing the left, fairly legitimately even, over how the left coddles and protects all the rioters and crimes that get committed in service of left-wing causes, culminating in the absurd events of 2020 with the Floyd riots.

But now that Jan 6th happened and that was a riot for a right-wing cause, all the tough justice folks have disappeared and are now doing exactly the same parsing and equivocating the left does. Rioting is bad when the left does it but this was okay because durr durr durr. Life really does come full circle and it would be even more hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic.

The double-standards of BOTH sides are truly astounding. Quite a high level of cognitive dissonance.

The irony in this thread is that Trump threw them to the curb, initially.
