    As a proud Liberal Party supporter, and ardent Tony Abbott supporter as well, he being the greatest Liberal leader since John Howard, why not have a public holiday in his name?

    LOL Anyone is better then Rudd and Gillard, its just an illusion of greatness caused by their abject failures. Though he is smarter then half the posters here (no clues to which half cough*leftyz*cough)!!!

    He shouldn't have a job, let alone a statue :p

    I do like some of his policies, but he messed up by breaking his promise and raising fuel taxes and increasing spending on his own pet projects. It's the story of all establishment conservatives - it's not that they dislike spending, it's that they dislike the other side's spending. That attitude takes away any fiscal conservatism they might have been credited with.

    Also, I don't support stealing from the public to build a statue of some government clown. If they want the statue they can pay for it themselves.

    We already have an International disabilities day, so we don't need a special day for Tonee.
