There are currently millions of Americans who consider themselves environmentalists. Collectively these individuals have a rather large carbon footprint and fill landfills with garbage. Imagine if we were to convert these people into earth friendly mulch or soylent green? Sure, we'd miss the opportunity to run their priuses over in a hummer. But think of the great earth mother! Also, I just want to give a shout out to the incandescent light bulb ban getting killed. Unfortunately, all incandescent manufacturing has already fled our job hating economic climate to greener (pun intended) pastures. But as the environmentalists like to say, why make something in America when we can make it in some third world sweat shop? Or at least that's what I imagine they say as they drive jobs out of our country.
Are you saying you're anti-environment? There is a difference between being a good steward of the earth and a self proclaimed "environmentalist" of the far left aiming only to destroy American industry. Unless you're zealously in favor of polluting as much as possible and making steaks out of endangered species of animal worth protecting, a completely soulless human being in other words, you should understand the distinction.
You have made no case at all. The OP is a tongue-in-cheek recommendation of what we should do with the type of environmentalist that even you acknowledge is the damaging sort.
As long as Enviromentalists promise to stop exhaling deadly Earth-killing CO2......they can stay...... . . .
The environmental movement and scientific/technical base are not one in the same. In fact most of the harping environmentalists are virtually clueless scientifically and operate on regurgitated myth.
OPs idea of a bright future is something similar to that seen in the movie Mad Max. Seriosly, advocating murdering of people because they try to reduce pollution? Sad and shameful.
Well, my suggestion wasn't serious of course. I'm sure there exists some sort of environmental regulation that would prevent us from achieving mankind's dream of ending hunger through soylent green. The title should read "Should we pay China to recycle environmentalists since we can no longer produce anything in America due to excessive regulation". Speaking of which, I think speaker Boehner should get some props for adding the Canadian oil pipeline to the Payroll Bill.
