    What I do not understand is why all you people are trying to push your demands for gold onto other people and businesses.
    Face it, most businesses and banks want nothing to do with your "lawful money". If you want to use gold, and barter with other like-minded individuals, go ahead.

    Why is it a problem if the local bank does not want to deal in gold?

    I do not like the current central bank system, but that does not mean you should start going around demanding everyone else use gold.
    You can argue that the government should be collecting its taxes in the form of gold, but that is a separate issue. If the dollar is so undervalued as you say it is, shouldn't you be more than happy to pay your taxes in dollars?
