Just as social security is mandated, President Obama should mandate that everyone sign up for Obamacare and pay amounts in accordance with their incomes.

Unconstitutional? The Constitution belongs to President Obama.

the difference between social security and the insurance mandate is no profit is involved in social security... if you merely took the profit out of the standard/mandated coverage (the same way EVERY other country that uses an insurance mandate system does) it would cost a lot less

Do you have any idea how insurance companies make their profit? One hint. It has little to do with the difference between premiums and payouts.

are we to pretend the projections that show the insurance industry growing another 6 million employees over the next 10 years do not exist?... but better yet, if it doesn't make much difference to the insurance companies anyway, then why don't we do what every other country in the world that uses an insurance mandate does, and take the profit out of the standard coverage?

Ummm... that is Obamacare... only instead of amounts tied to income, it is tied to use... those who need it less pay more than those who need it more.

A simple solution to the Obamacare issue would be a single payer system, which is what we should have done in the first place.

My income this year I'm filing for my taxes will be well under the poverty line so that sounds fair.

again, if premiums aren't the company's primary source of profit, then that's all the more reason to lower the premium costs to non-profit levels.. a single payer system would actually save us 570 BILLION dollars a year because it's a non-profit healthcare provider, and there's no middle men

No the fact the they can make money on float keeps premiums artificially low. If they wernt making billions off of float they would have to raise premiums to make up the difference.
