    How can anyone read this story and come away thinking "yeah, Trump is totally fit for the office he holds"?
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...a26f60-c823-11e9-8067-196d9f17af68_story.html

    In one press conference, Trump:

    -- Suggested next year's G-7 summit be held at one of his properties, which would put millions into his own pocket;
    -- Falsely blamed Obama for getting Russia kicked out of the group;
    -- Defended Putin's annexation of Crimea;
    -- Claimed, falsely, that other leaders agree with letting Russia back in;
    -- Claimed, falsely, that China had called him twice to talk about trade;
    -- Claimed, falsely, that French President Macron had asked his permission to invite Iran's foreign minister to the meeting;
    -- Claimed Kim Jong Un was an "honorable" man who wouldn't disappoint Trump;
    -- Claimed, falsely, that Melania had gotten to know Kim Jong Un very well; the two have never even met;

    The rest of the world sees Trump for what he is: a dishonest blowhard who has no idea what he is doing or talking about.

    It's astounding that his supporters can't or won't.

    Way to completely not respond to the OP.

    Tell me, if you're a Trump supporter, how anything in the OP is acceptable to you.

    Can you just copy and paste the part supporting your claim: "The rest of the world sees Trump for what he is: a dishonest blowhard who has no idea what he is doing or talking about."

    Your claim also calls for the operation of Trumps mind. Also false. If you are a US citizen and feel we can do better, you can start by not emulating him.

    Considering that the other option may entail ubi, increased taxes, expanded welfare, free college, reparations, gun control, dismissed student loans, lax border enforcement, men in women's sports, communistic healthcare, massive regulation on businesses, on and on, yeah, I will be voting for that nutty Trump. Go figure.

    Seriously, issues matter, orange man bad doesn't.

    I see a pattern here. The TDS crowd moves from Trump is mentally unfit to Russia, Russia, Russia, to obstruction, obstruction, obstruction, and then back to Trump is mentally unfit. Have I missed any recycled DNC talking points?

    President Donald Trump said China is ready to come back to the negotiating table, but one Chinese insider is calling Trump's bluff, saying, "China didn't change its position."

    Hu Xijin is editor-in-chief of the Global Times, a tabloid under the People's Daily, which is the official newspaper of the Communist Party of China. His Twitter account has been followed by many Wall Street traders and market participants for insight on the trade war.

    His comment came after Trump said at the G-7 summit in France that China expressed its desire for a deal in a recent call.

    [IMG]
    "China called last night our top trade people and said, 'Let's get back to the table,' so we will be getting back to the table and I think they want to do something. They have been hurt very badly but they understand this is the right thing to do and I have great respect for it," Trump said.

    Hu said the two sides did not hold phone talks recently, adding that Trump is exaggerating the significance of the "technical level" contacts.

    "The two sides have been keeping contact at technical level, it doesn't have significance that President Trump suggested," he said in a tweet Monday. "China won't cave to U.S. pressure."

    Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang also said he was not aware that a phone call between the two sides had taken place.

    Hu has been right about some recent developments in the intensifying trade war. China said Friday it will slap tariffs on $75 billion more of U.S. goods and resume auto tariffs, in retaliation for Trump's latest tariff threat. Hours before the announcement, Hu had warned the retaliation was coming.

    Wouldn't it be illegal for Trump to make money from an official engagement?

    Wasn't the coup in Kiev and the sanctions started during the Obama administration, and wasn't Nuland the one who chose the next president of Ukraine?
    The people of Crimea voted to become part of Russia as protection from the fascist junta in Kiev.

    Most did and a few Russiphobes didn't with the excuse that the Russian Federation doesn't follow the same liberal social agenda as the others. In other words they aren't forcing gay rights parades on the Russian people. But wouldn't forcing something on a population against their will be totalitarianism? Is that what they want, dictators?

    Xi probably did.

    Yeah, as if Macron wouldn't check it out first with Trump. Do you think he's stupid?

    Well if anyone knows him, it would be Trump. Kim sends him love letters.

    How do you know they haven't?

    No you see him as a dishonest blowhard. The rest of the world sees him as just a blowhard, but a tough one.

    Of the other leaders around the table, only Giuseppe Conte, the outgoing Italian prime minister, offered Trump any support, according to this account. Shinzo Abe of Japan was neutral. The rest – the UK’s Boris Johnson, Germany’s Angela Merkel, Canada’s Justin Trudeau, the EU council president, Donald Tusk, and the French president, Emmanuel Macron – pushed back firmly against the suggestion.

    Quick Clarification on Melania’s Beautiful Friendship With Kim Jong Un: They’ve Never Actually Met

    "Kim Jong Un — who I’ve gotten to know extremely well; the first lady has gotten to know Kim Jong Un, and I think she’d agree with me — he is a man with a country that has tremendous potential,” Trump said Monday morning.

    White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham then issued a clarification stating that the first lady and North Korean leader did not know each other personally as Trump had suggested.

    Grisham said in the statement, “President Trump confides in his wife on many issues including the detailed elements of his strong relationship with Chairman Kim — and while the First Lady hasn’t met him, the President feels like she’s gotten to know him too."

    Yeah, you missed a bunch but I learned not to try and educate the trump crowd. They would rather believe what the golden pervert tells them instead of taking the time to fact check the things he says and does.

    Oh, then any questioning of a MSM narrative is now being called a Russian perspective? Interesting!

    Of course trumpettes can't defend the content of the nonsense trump spews so they have to go into complete denial with dollop of arrogant ad hom dismissal.

    Seems it just doesn't matter what crazy bullshit trump peddles to the world, its okay with them and if it's okay with them, then it must be okay with the rest of the world, because after all Murka is great agin.

    Pathetic performance on the global stage, and trumpettes are proud of it and him.

    Finger paints are so much easier to use than crayons.

    The stupid thing is, by not having any standards or principles, they've lost the right to demand that others have them. So when they try to call Warren a liar, for example, everyone just laughs at them. They have made themselves irrelevant to any ongoing discussion of candidates.

    I said most in the G7 and I retract that. Conte was representing Italy, and Japan was obviously too frightened to come right out and cast his vote for Russia, so he abstained.

    This is what Pres. Macron said:

    "...French President Emmanuel Macron has warned that it would be a “strategic mistake” for Western nations not to change their attitude toward Moscow. We are living the end of Western hegemony, Macron told diplomats on Tuesday, after hosting the G7 meeting in the city of Biarritz on France’s Atlantic coast over the weekend. He named the rise of Beijing and Moscow as signs of a shift on the world scene..."
    The excuse given for Russia not being invited to the G8 is because Putin refuses to impose a liberal Democracy on the people so as to please the Russianphobes and Christianphobes of the EU. So tell me, how in the damn world can impositions of anything on a majority be considered a democracy? Wouldn't that be an oxymoron? How about a little brains here.

    Of course the so called 'democratic' EU does impose liberalism on the people in Eastern Europe against their will of course - which makes the EU survival rate just about nil.

    As for Melania, she either read Kim's love letters to Trump and feels she knows him, or it was a slip by Trump and she went along with him and did meet him. There has to be some pretty sick minds in the MSM to make an issue of it. But then again what else is new.

    [IMG]
    Whatever's 'right' is now called 'wrong'
    and soon it'll come, it won't be long
    when what goes 'up' will be the 'down'.
    Then frown they will, when day is night,
    and 'dark' will reign instead of 'light'.
    - Jeannette
