This must be karma kicking me in the ass for making a tasteless joke about Chris Kelly from Kriss Kross dying yesterday. I feel like an (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) now. :(

Jeff Hanneman will forever stand out to me as one of the coolest rock stars I ever met. The first time I met him back in 2000, I made the ultimate fan faux pas - I interrupted him right in the middle of getting a girl's phone number. And instead of getting annoyed with me, he actually told her to hold on while he talked to me instead. That's the kind of guy he was. Just super awesome. He was always my favorite member of that band, and this really sucks.

Rest in peace, Jeff. You were a great guy and an amazing musician.

Oh that sucks beyond belief. Jeff Hanneman is probably the main influence in my guitar playing. I really wish I would have gotten a chance to see them live. Death by spider bite... sounds like a Metal song... RIP Jeff.
