Ooops. Ah well, we'll forgive her.

Where's that HillBilly, just saw him sneaking around back there with my jug of shine. I hope he's just refilling it for me.

I love snowballs not from the icecream truck where their rock hard but when their freshly shaved and soft.

My favorte flavor is tigers blood, it tastes like cough medicine but I like cough medicine.

I also like pina colada flavoring for shakes.

That reminds me of polish ice its different from italian ice it tastes like its dairy but its non dairy which is great for lactose intolerence.

the only side effect is it does something really bad to the stool but its worth it on a day at the beach.

OK, it's officially hotter'n hell in Big D today. 103 right now. 106-108 tomorrow. BROIL by Wednesday.

Got home all comfy under the a/c, looked out the window and realized the birdbath was nearly dry... just some green goopy water on the very bottom and birds were still trying to get a drink. Poor lil things... said the word 'birds' to my Lucydog and she was at the front door, ready to go help me. Fresh clean water and several dishes of sunflower seeds. Now there's 4 squirrels, a beautiful red cardinal and least 4 bluejays out there. Oh yeah, and one of those creepy grackles who took a quick dip in the birdbath. I would've done that too if I was him... maybe they're not so stupid. Do you know grackles don't eat birdseed? Not even sunflower seeds. It's weird. They'll come for the water, but I've never seen 'em eat one seed. Guess they eat only bugs. Carnivorous birds?

No more guilties... let's have a glass of chardonnay and watch the lil birds. ;)

No good deed goes unpunished. Shortly after bird post, my power went out. After 30 min, called somebody... they said 'outage, repair underway, fixed by 9 PM'. NINE PM????? It's friggin 101 degrees!

Long story shorter, it came back on about 45 min later. Off long enough to make you appreciate coolness. Glad I didn't have to go driving around in the a/c car 'til my porch light was on. :(

    (*)(*)(*)(*) birds.

Someone I had kinda noticed from afar, but had never really spoken with other than good morning/afternoon pleasantries, asked yesterday if I'd like to meet for coffee.................

Well... although the coffee left a bit to be desired, the time spent in conversation and laughter, was nothing less than wonderful.

Even better, she asked if I'd like to meet again. :woot:

That story about carnivorous birds reminds me....
a few years ago we had a pair of bluebirds raising youngens beside the front porch. Sadly, for unknown reasons, Momma bird passed on.
Papa bird tried his best to keep up, but looked rather exhausted after a while. I supplemented by digging up worms, leaving them near the nest for him to take, while also feeding some to the babies.
They all survived, and we have since been blessed with many generations of bluebirds.
