    Actually, it must've been a case of wishful thinking because it never got all that warm today. Maybe 65.. but not warm enough to open the windows. I know, I tried. *brrrrrrr*

    My Xubuntu operating system is working smoothly...

    X-u-b, u-n-t, u&u&u... Xubuntu mouse.

    Everything is quite and secure on this computer.

    Which is sort of the problem. If no one is even trying to get in... where's the fun in that? Maybe I should reconsider coming up with a more dangerous practice area.

    I'm using the Xubuntu operating system now instead of windows. It started out as a game, but then I thought, if I'm going to start a solo law practice like I'm trying to do, I need a really secure operating system.

    Thing is, I want to start an immigration law practice. I don't think anyone has any motive to try and hack into my system. This isn't insurance defense or IP law or anything. It's just getting student visas, naturalization and so-on. So, I probably don't actually need to be on ubuntu/linux.

    But thumbing my nose ever so slightly towards the NSA and Google analytics is also good. It's really easy to block ads and if I manage to have a family at some point, you can also block things like porn sites pretty easily, and finally ubuntu is pretty resistant to viruses as compared to windows and even mac osx.
