Over the years I've done red, blue, purple, orange and yellow - green is the obvious move for next year, but then I never like to do the obvious thing!

Thx, darlin. Busy day here getting ready for another week. Slacked off yesterday... but I did catch a double feature of Sharknado last nite. Good stuff. I was ROFLMAO.

 

Cleaning house?

I was glad to get my brothers stuff moved yesterday and get it all done in one day. I was drained by the time I got back. Tired today too. Really not into doing much of anything today. I figure I will go with the flow.

Do a lil stretching out and just take it easy.

 

No house cleaning... thats all done. Laundry, cooking (pork chops, mixed greens, squash, mashed taters, salad).... a little personal grooming and presto-chango... ready for another week!

Now, who wants breakfast?

 

Oh, that is an all day affair down in Texas eh?

 

Yes dear, cooking from scratch is an all day event whereas popping a frozen dinner into the microwave gives a gal lots of time for lazing around. Today is scratch day. Pork chops are thawing as we speak.

 

Enjoying my coffee this morning when a squirrel jumped on the windowsill, looked right in at me and telecommunicated this message:



I was LMAO 'cuz he actually looked just like that guy. Obeyed the master and filled up the bird feeders with critter food and the birdbath with fresh water and now there are six tree rats pigging out just outside my window. Wonder how they spread the word without the internet?

Does anyone one on this thread eat fried chicken served with rice
and creamed chicken gravy? It's popular in the southeast. Probably
because potatoes weren't grown down there but rice was and is.

I love it! Mom made it a couple of times a month for Sunday after
church dinner.

 

Rice and gravy isn't that popular around here... it's mashed potatoes & gravy. Might be because us 'po folks remember when ALL WE HAD was rice & water-gravy. I thought it was mighty tasty as a kid... only after I was grown did I realize that's all we could afford sometimes.

Rice would be good with the smothered pork chops I'm cooking for dinner. Thx for the suggestion, PP... that'll go just fine with the fresh greens & squash.

Now, tem Cajuns like that rice & gravy. Ayeeeeee
