In Ohio, the resistance is to Italian. Milan (M'lahn) is, instead, pronounced MYlun.

Prolly more comfy than our 93 and high humidity. I'm a Fl native and it used to not bother me, now at 40, that's not so much the case. Shade and hydration.

If I was there, you could tell it was me by the teeth in the dust pile.

    Help! I'm dying here.

Yeah I went up to Dallas and noticed the temp was a mere 90 degrees... I was soaked in sweat the whole time! There must be next to zero humidity here... cured wood further shrinks and warps, and I not longer buy wooden handled tools because they all shrinnk and loose their heads.
I have often wondered if there might be a business here of curing wood.

But on the plus side, does it take forever for steel to rust?

i suppose so, it doesn't rust through, but the sun burns a patina on everything, so it;s not unmarred... as a matter of fact, check out that old car in my avatar..that'll give you a good idea. the usn burns a lot of things,, such as it burns the color red off, destrouys adhesives, breaks down plastics... and one must be careful becxause you can become very dehydrated without sweating, perspiration sublimates to vapor.

I don't have to stay here and get laughed at. I can go home for that.

It really is too hot for my comfort. I do much better with 60s. It's going to be rough; sleeping tonight.

Our winter temperatures hang out at freezing (32°F), day and night. The coldest I've seen in the 24 years I've lived here is 22°F. I don't remember what the hottest was - probably 86-89°.

The normal high, for today, is 63°.

Here in Bama the sweat soaks your clothes through and through. Even my feet sweat through my boots. The sweat pools on my glasses and blocks vision after they fog from moving inside to outside. It can be uncomfortable.

Being from Cleveland I think Not.After my frosh year in college
and back home in Cleveland I got a job landscaping.Basically cutting
    lawn.With a professional lawnwomer.A Jacobsen { typical Orange }.
They were used to cut golf courses.
My Boss was basically part of the Cleveland Mob.He was
Italian and worked as a bartender nights at a Mob Restaurant.
He greeted us to start the morning and sometimes visited a job site.
He drove a sporty car,had expensive clothes and talked tough.
He took orders from guys who took orders like Big Italian Tony Hughes
    and also Jackie Presser { a jew }.Jackie Presser's father { Bill Presser }
was a Protege of Jimmy Hoffa.

Never really came up.There were city's the next state over
{ Pennsylvania } where the pronunciation was weird.
One can tell right away someone who grew up in Pittsburg.
I grew up on the East Side of Cleveland. The West side
was older and very ethnic. The two sides { East vs. West } were
worlds apart. My Old man grew up on the West side of Cleveland.
He moved to the East side and never looked back.My cousins
still live on the West side.
Ghoulardi had much to say about Parma { famous for it's Polish }.

Our winters get pretty miserable. You could set an alarm to go off every two hours around the clock, for four days, and think that your thermometer is stuck. 33°, 10mph wind, light rain. No letup. Then, it goes up to 34° for another rainy four days.

Well that doesn't preclude Tim Conway who was from the
Cleveland suburb of Chargrin Falls,O.My best friend who attended
the same high school and then same college lived in Chargrin Falls.
A simple almost hamlet of a town. The downtown area became a hangout
for The early edition of what are considered Trendies.Back then they were
Hippies and those who were quite unconventional.
Tim Conway left Cleveland after working alongside Ernie Anderson
{ Ghoulardi } and became a huge megastar.First with - McHales Navy and
then The Carol Burnett Show .Then a host of Disney Movies.
Ernie Anderson followed the same path as Conway and went out west
to Hollywood and never looked back.He was an announcer and
official " voice of ABC " his Love Boat voice is greatly remembered.
But it was his Late Night Gonzo " El Cheapo Horror Movie " format
that made him a Cleveland Legend. There are still YouTube takes
that show his persona.Mystery Science Theatre was basically a rendition
    of the Great Ghoulardi.
Foolardi is from Ghoulardi. My version of schtick.
Get it ... Ova-dey." Cool it and Turn Blue ".

As I get older, I can tolerate the cold, true cold, less and less. Winters are relatively short, usually about 3 months, with intermittent periods of 'pre-Spring'.

I would prefer to be hot and sweltering if it came down to it, but we have a nice mix of '4 seasons'. Being out in the country helps a great deal, attire can be minimal and no human needs see... I have scared a deer or two through the years, lol.

I think Galvanized steel prevents rust. Not eliminates.
Seems like older vehicles with thicker sheet metal didn't rust
as fast and complete as newer cars. That is why Japanese steel was
better.Aluminum does not rust but it does corrode. That can be a chore to
    remove.

Gee I dunno.I was thinking about this very thing a week ago. When we had
our first real test of Hot Sticky weather.I was thinking ... I dunno. If the electricity
goes out it would be worse than if a cold winter day.I'd have to use a fan
with batteries. It'd be sweatin' and getting my clothes wet or soaked.
Definately need to take more showers than in winter.
I don't know what would be worse.
I just don't know. But one thing is sure. Our Bodies would tell us.
That's the long and short of it.

That's amazing weather! Got down to -5 during the4 big freeze of 2008, Funny thing is, if you stand in the sun and it is not blowing, then it is shirt sleeve weather. Duirng th ewinter it will often dip down to 30 degrees briefly at night, rare3ly below freezing long enough to freeze anything, and when we do get snow, as we did in the Big Freeze of 2021, it melts off by noon of the next day, I get up early enough that I can drive around and look at the mountains all sprinkled with white.. just beautiful! Here, on the shores of beautiful Findley Lake, our weather is dominated by that huge body of water.
