Goood for you! I still have THAT vice, one at a time I guess although getting short of breath on my walks might make me quit sooner than planned.

No, I didn't know they were tight, wow! Well, good for them both I'm happy for them and wish them the best. Sounds like she is doing great herself.

Thanks, I do like this place, it's big and busy and can kinda blend in easily enough. It's been working good the past few days, when I joined it was driving me crazy, haha.

Yep, one step at a time, Imp. This is no BS.... I feel SO MUCH BETTER since I stopped smoking. Not just breathing easier, but it's easier to walk, climb stairs, that kinda stuff. When you're ready, you'll do it. In the meantime, don't beat yourself up. There's lots worse things than smoking. ;)

You know when someone has a lousy waitress and they leave her a nickle tip? Kinda like an insult?

That's what a lonely, single $10 donation is to this site.

Good morning everyone and what a fine morning it is. The birds are singing and...uh lets see....we're breathing. Yeah thats it. We're still breathing! lol

Dont you hate it when you wake up and your nose is so dry with crusty snots? Like concrete..its like concrete. Thats this morning. Not particularly attractive but..real. lol Took a hot shower to break that crap up. So anyway I woke up at 12 and smelled something burning. My first thought...get up and check the furnace. Furnace was fine. My second thought, Christ sake I better have paid the house insurance. lol Then I go outside and the who area smells like fire. No sirens so who knows.

So speaking of smells, I was thinking about scents and pheromones. Isn't it funny how different scents attract different people. Like the smell of a man who smells like fresh cut lumber. Madonna Mia lumbermen! That man smell mixed with lumber. Then you have that manufactured smell. Dont laugh but I love the smell of....Old Spice. I just do. Not heavy dumped on. More like standing in a crowd and smelling it and thinking OK which one of these guys is an old sailor? I like Grey Flannel also. Thats like a magnet for me. Me I wear Victoria Secret Vanilla Lace. In our house if it doesn't smell like food dont wear it. lmao and thats the truth!

So who likes smelling what? The bar question of the day.
    ....I love this song!

How very observant, MC. I donated last month just before the site went down for 2 days. LOL, it's like paying car payments on a 67 Dodge Dart. ;)

Oh yeah... we're not getting much response from the manly scents question.

    What's your fav fragrance, dear?

No fair... politics isn't allowed in the bar... which means no double-talking.

What scent do YOU like to wear.. you know, for those 'special' occasions?

Howdy back... things are good in the Lone Star State. (OK, so gas went up again and the cable company is lousy, but other than that...)

LMAO! I was on the verge of a sneeze when I started reading your post and then got choked! Good morning, falena!!

I won't laugh at the Old Spice thing...I've already stated I love it. My grandad wore it and I still love it. It's got a clean smell.

BTW....g'morning y'all! I got so choked up on falena's post, forgot to say howdy.

Elijah took his first steps last night. The kids called me to get on Skype and I got to see it, and clap for him and see that sweet smile he's got. He's always so proud when he makes the grown ups goofy...LOL

Awww, can't believe he's walking already! Where does the time go?

Morning gang!!!! It's gonna hit 55° here tomorrow. Winter? What winter?

Hope this doesn't mean we're in for a Texas-type summer this year. Phew!

It's hard to believe, isn't it? He just turned 14 months. Where did that year go?

I'll chug some rum while you chug your whiskey. Winter hasn't showed up here this year, either. I can just imagine it waiting until April to snow.

Good morning all. Your lazy retired OT is back. Yeah I have been real lazy lately. I've been a real couch potato. All I have been doing is playing games and watching movies lately. Mainly because I have been having a lot of trouble getting on here. Don't know about anybody else here, but it has been happening a lot to me lately. Especially trying to get something posted. It would take 10 minutes sometines so I just gave up. I sure do hope that everyone here is in good health and great spirits today. Man, I sure could use a drink right now. I went for a 2 mile walk this morning and I am still chilled. So I need something to warm me up from the inside. Linda said that I have been so lazy that it is now time for my punishment and tomorrow I have to shampoo the carpets. Just because I bought a new bissel shampooer that is not a sign that I want to use it right away. Boy is she a slave driver. Well I will try again in the morning to get back on in time for breakfast.

Amen, sister! It's 57 and drizzly here today. I'll take it, though.

Yeah, I've decided I don't want to be the first one to retire, and have the "free time" to spend doing chores...LOL

Your past few days sound awesome to me! If I lived in that kind of climate, I'd be even worse than I am now about wanting to do nothing but curl up with a hot toddy and a good book.

See now everytime I smell Old Spice when I'm in a crowd of men I'm gonna think your around, Subman!

I love the smell of old spice. My great uncle would take his shaving cup with that soap in the bottom and use that brush with the cool round handle and make a lather and put it on his face and shave with a straight razor. Then slap on the old spice. I use to sit there as a kid and watch totally fascinated. Very cool.
