Speaking of opposums...if you ever happen upon one...never assume he is dead. They will scare the living daylights out of you.

It is best not to mess with them if you need to potty...

No, it isn't a sumac it is a small pecan tree. Courtesy of a squirrel who forgot where he hid the nut.

Had me a shot of dew drops last night. Then another and another.Stuff ain't
too half bad with a beer chaser.Of course I also chased this chippie around the bar stool
a few times to work up me thirst.
All an all not a bad night.I got the chippie's name and number and helped her with her
bar tab.I explained the amount to her since she was seeing double.
I wonder If I looked double deliish to her.She kinda acted like I did.
Like Mickey Rourke said in - Barfly - {1987} " Sometimes I just get tired of
thinking of all the things that I don't wanna do.All the things that I don't wanna be.
Anybody can be a non-drunk.It takes a special talent to be a drunk. "

LOL @ messing with the possum.

Well, I though it could perhaps be a young pecan, or even a young black walnut. They're pretty also...but kinda messy (sticky sap), and the walnut will stain clothes too. grrrr

I had a small black walnut tree but it died. Pecans can stain too.

Oh yes Smartie. I finally gave up last evening.

Same for a while this morning too. Actually, this is the third day in a row I have experienced it.

Thats a beautiful picture. Are they saying you guys will get storms? We are suppose to hit 90 today. It was 60 yesterday. lol I hate the heat. Yankee blood likes it cold. Ass freezing cold. Walk in a foot of snow barefoot cold. Nannooka of da North cold. No air conditioning in yet. Its a process and 6+ grand for central air thats not going to happen. So these next few days should be fun. After a while its easy to get use to the heat but from 50's and 60's to 90's with a heat index of 110 is not comfortable. I didn't wash the truck yesterday but definitely will today. lol That reminds me I need to get the extended thing to reach. lol

Black walnut trees have a beauty all their own. The wood is also beautiful.
Thing is the roots have a high concentration of a toxic substance. If you cut a black walnut tree down the roots decay and release that toxicity. I cant remember off hand all the...hold on Im gonna find it. Here..
PLANTS SENSITIVE TO BLACK WALNUT TOXICITY

Annuals and vegetables: asparagus, cabbage, eggplant, flowering tobacco, pepper, petunia, potato, tomato

Herbaceous perennials: autumn crocus, baptisia, columbine, lily (Asian hybrids), peony, rhubarb

Shrubs: blueberry, red chokeberry, cotoneaster, Amur honeysuckle, hydrangea, lilac, privet, potentilla, rhododendron, yew, and some viburnum shrub species

Trees: European alder, white birch, crabapple species, hackberry, larch, linden, saucer magnolia, mugo pine, red pine, white pine, Norway spruce, silver maple, and some viburnum tree species

My sisters grandkid is graduating highschool. My sister was so into the grandkids. A Nonnie to the 10's! Never missed any of the school activities. Always sat in those bleachers and cheared those kids on. Now one seat is empty. She adored the grandkids and they loved the hell out of her! A best friend to all of them.
I feel bad for the kid.

Till we meet again...and hug daddy for me.

I just thought of this. My sister was 16 years older than me. My father wanted another daughter. I should probably thank my brother for that. lmao!

I don't know if we will get a storm but maybe someone who also saw the sunrise may get a storm..."Red sky in the morning sailor take warning...Red sky at night sailors delight.." I think that is the right wording..
I walked barefoot in the snow once..just to see how it would feel... Southern feet don't like walking in snow. I can tolerate some heat but sometimes the heat in the south with the humidity actually hurts.. Actually southern feet don't like walking through hot sand either...imagine that...lol.

I love black walnut wood or any kind of wood for that matter. I like to buy old wooden furniture and redo it. I love working with wood....when I have time. I have been trying to re-cane the bottom of an old wooden rocker for a year or so but I keep getting distracted. Maybe one day.

Maybe I don't want a black walnut tree after all:fear:....I don't notice it killing any pest plants...on second thought privet..yeah I would like to plant one just to get rid of the chinese privit we have on the back side of the property...I believe the proper name is ligustrum sinense that is one nasty hateful plant. http://plants.ifas.ufl.edu/node/231. It is very invasive.

Hiya Kimi! Missed ya, g/f... glad to see you!

I think we lost Mary to her work schedule. Since they cut back, she may be doing 2-3 jobs.

    Bless her heart. :(

Glad to be back. Got new meds, maybe some of this **** will subside now.

Yeah, I hate what's happened to Mary at her job. I do know she's relieving stress by running, though. I see her posting that on FB a lot.
