I don't think many people know of Smedley Butler, but commonly, even you have two types of people who share criticism of the government. You have ordinary people, who claims are denounced as those of a person who could not possibly know or understand what they are talking about; and you have the famous, influential, and creditable figures, who are denounced for being traitors, expatriates, or dillusional in some way. Apparently, there are plenty of such figures in history and they seem to share a common, specific opinion, one being US President Eisenhower.
