    Snowbirds go south for the winter. It's a word frequently used about the elderly spending winter in Florida. 40 years in Georgia and I have never heard a person referred to as a snowflake and the southeast is the most diverse region of the US.
    Hey Canada, I'm so glad you're our northern neighbor and oceans separate our side of the globe from the other. We haven't had war over here in a century+ .

    The nearest I can come to it is 'flake', which is used for liberals/lefties. Don't have the faintest idea where the 'snow' came from.

    Flake is used to describe the intellectually deficienct here. A more kosher term for stupid. Flake isn't used to describe democrats or anything or person politically.
    Speaking of snow, is it snowing in your area yet? 50's-60's in Georgia. We seldom get snow and when there is even a prediction for it, we are hilarious. Southerners don't handle inclement weather well. The stereotypes are pretty accurate.
