Sounds like the plot for a cheap knockoff Stephen King novel. At least throw some demons in there for variety!

"the USA is going to no products to sell and make profits, yet huge costs will appear as more and more people get sick, and the USA is so sparsely staffed that Friday and Saturday and Holidays have people down the hall and somedays outside!"

    No.

"You can't say that the key manufacturer like China being unable to ship product to our leading businesses are going to be losing massive profits, have layoffs, idle production lines even if the virus never came to the USA."

True somewhat, but your are over blowing this as well. The will get back to full production fro the very reasons you listed.

"These kinds of obviously incorrect information is making every more panicky."

Its the screaming doom heads like yourself that add to panic.

""]It is interes watch "the Good News" guys try to spin death rates as "very very low" when the infections are so new that the sick people haven't had time to die, some linger for weeks! And then to have autopsies, verification of the cause of death (not a quick process) and get the reports to the authorities who, just like Trump, don't want to admit their country is going to hell."

Majority of people are recovering, not lying in bed waiting to die. This paragraph is just a mess of conjecture, speculations and out right untruths.

Google says that the temperatures in Tehran are still under 70 degrees, Bahrain appears to have like three cases of the virus from people who were in contact with Iranians. So I think it would be premature to conclude that the virus is not effected by temperatures as similar viruses seem to be.

If we're smart the USA will figure out that we must quit being a dependency client of China, and expedite the re-start of manufacturing in the USA, in other words (you know who), wave the magic wand and get it the hell done.

All those small towns out on the prairies and hinterlands that have suffered so much in the last forty years all deserve to have factories and employment back again.

I agree and steps have been taken at least, very small ones but steps.

Sanders or Biden would screw that all up no doubt.

38 cases in Bahrain so far. The two new cases were on flights from Iran but I agree that it is too early to say how temperature effects the virus.

To start manufacturing in the US would require government subsidies.
Why would a socialist screw that up when they are the party that would subsidize public manufacturing. It is private enterprise that sends jobs abroad. No private company would be able to make anything cheaper in the US than could be made in China or India

On the subject of China... I’m mid-flight as we speak and just noticed our Delta flight attendant is wearing black uniform instead of prescribed purple, introduced 2 years ago. So, I asked her; it is her own. Apparently, Delta’s purple uniforms are manufactured in China for Lands End, and they contain toxins and heavy metals which make employees sick!!! The Delta Union is suing Lands End and Delta is replacing all of their 100,000 or so uniforms.

    No ****, eh?

What a pathetic attempt to dismiss the Republican policies that substantially crashed the market.

That a little hard to support with the reality that the Great Crash were happening BEFORE Obama took the reins.

And 10 years or more to get it actually working.

In WW2, the USA was already manufacturing planes and tanks (big cars), development was not needed to get started.

Now, the most difficult manufacturing technologies are in China, Germany, some in Japan. Now we need to figure out HOW to build it, and to figure out HOW to build it.

We should be doing that development in any event, but we are not, even under Trump. Its pathetic.

whether the market was overvalued, fully valued, or under valued is open to discussion and the gurus disagree on that point. A lot of what has been driving the market is the poor shape a lot of other countries are in.

And we are now in a correction which was inevitable at some point. The worry now is the possibility that the corona virus could trigger a full blown recession.

Yes that damn fool gutted the CDC and cut funding for the NIH. And then he appointed an idiot who blew the only health crisis he ever dealt with to coordinate the response to the Corona virus. But don’t worry, everything will be fine when the weather warms up.

    or was your post sarcasm?

Trump did not cut the CDC budget. He proposed cutting it in 2021 but I'm sure that is off the table now.

Trump’s budgets have proposed cuts to public health, only to be overruled by Congress, where there’s strong bipartisan support for agencies such as the CDC and NIH. Instead, financing has increased.

Indeed, the money that government disease detectives first tapped to fight the latest outbreak was a congressional fund created for health emergencies.

Some public health experts say a bigger concern than White House budgets is the steady erosion of a CDC grant program for state and local public health emergency preparedness — the front lines in detecting and battling new disease. But that decline was set in motion by a congressional budget measure that predates Trump.
