The election is over. Trump lost. Biden will be inaugurated on 1/20.

Trump, his inner circle and his family are facing criminal investigations in multiple state and federal jurisdictions and while Trump may predictably try to use the pardon power at the federal level he has no such power at the state level.

Even if he does use his pardon power to pardon his co-conspirators that will not stop investigations into, well, into EVERYTHING. His businesses, finances, and actions taken to benefit himself legally and financially while President.

Even more interesting is that none of the people he pardons will be able to avoid testifying before Congress or in front of grand juries. No fifth once you accept the pardon. This, of course, means the fallout will be widespread across the Trumpioan landscape.

    So what next?

We, as a nation, obviously cannot allow the criminality of the last several years to pass. However, whether criminal action or congressional hearings the fallout will be ugly and and the damage may be more than we want to endure.

    So, what next?

Hunter and Beijing Joe are next. What did you think? Jeez

PS rest assured Trump is not going anywhere either. He'll be a thorn in the lib side every second of the next 4 years.

First option, full bore on the criminal side. Investigate, prosecute, convict.

It cannot be reasonably argued that criminality has not been both present and widespread in the Trump White House and beyond. Many would argue that we should pursue all criminal avenues wherever they lead and to hell with whatever the fallout becomes. While I do not disagree with the concept, I don't believe this is the best path forward.

    Second Option Do nothing.
No one that does not have a house full of Trump campaign stuff and a possible criminal connection to Trump will accept this.

Third option: Pardon Trump and his family conditionally.
Trump may try to pardon himself, his family, his criminal allies. There's is good reason to believe those pardon's will not stand legal scrutiny. But the real question is whether we want to expose them.

    Here's the deal.
Trump and his family go away.
No social media presence, any of them, at all.
They will be permitted to make paid speeches whose content is approved by the White House.
They will be permitted to write books whose content is approved
If they comply then on election day 2024 the pardon becomes effective.

If they refuse the deal or violate the terms it's perp walk city for the lot of them.

Biden would, of course, need the agreement of the various states currently investigating Trump criminal activity.
