"Trump urges Republicans to 'fight very hard' against voting by mail"
    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/apr/08/trump-mail-in-voting-2020-election#maincontent

Contrary to President Trump's undocumented statements, there exists no study nor statistics that prove voting by mail leads to mass voting fraud. Currently five states vote entirely by mail, including Republican Utah, and the vast majority of States have no excuse absentee ballots.

President Trump himself votes by mail, and the only recent case of fraud involving mail in voting came from Republicans in North Carolina.

So, to prepare for what might be an election challenged by the coronavirus, why would President Trump and the GOP be so against funding now as a precaution to establish procedures and guidelines for a voting by mail in November?

Republicans know their base that will vote can get access to or has access to photo ids. So if you can suppress anyone else from being able to get it, then you basically have the election in the bag. Which then begs the question, why are they so against changing their policies for the changing times? I wonder if it has something to do with the structure of the GOP that means they have to?

If it has never happening, and we have six months to prepare, why would you want to take the chance of putting Americans in a potentially dangerous situation when it can be avoided?

Cause it isn't necessary, multiple studies have shown voter ID fraud to negligible, this could be a real situation

Remember the Democrat's Iowa caucus debacle? Now picture that on a national scale.

Does that look good to you?

No way comparable, apples and oranges, national election isn't a caucus

mail is lost all the time, delivered to the wrong address, or accidentally destroyed during transport. This is the unseen voter disenfranchisement the left would holler about when they lose elections.

That, and it's just perfect for voter fraud, the kind of voter fraud the left excels in.

And how does voting by mail secure elections? I think the Russians would find that easier and more certain to not just influence elections, but to literally vote in them.

The best way for the left to drop this insane idea is for republicans to come out in favor of it. it will be then that the left will no longer be in favor of it and describe all the ways a person can cheat by mail - and being the experts on cheating, they would know.

Do welfare, food stamp, WIC, and Social Security recipients need IDs? It sounds like the poor have no problem getting IDs either.

Exactly. It'd be an exponentially-larger debacle. The Iowa caucus was a molehill of a debacle, national voting by mail would be a mountain of a debacle.

Dirty Donald knows that the more Americans who vote lessens the chance of a GOP win. This is why GOP is constantly trying to minimize voting in the states they control.

Everyone has access to voter ID’s. It’s racist to believe otherwise.

All of these right wingers KNOW that too, and they lie thru their teeth, and say WHATEVER will stop the vote. Whether gerrymandering, caging, felon voting or any other category, they want less Democrats voting, by hook or by crook.

Poor Harry Thomson can’t get a voter id because his social security says Harry Tomson, but his drivers license and all other documents say Harry Thomson. Not all ids require the same level of scrutiny, nor does that mean we should make sure they have to present that much documentation to vote.

To be able to vote by mail you have to have a valid address am I right? How are people who live in their trucks and do the jobs Americans won't do supposed to get their mail-in ballots?

Why bother thinking for ones self when there are memes? Both parties care about power. Not you, your health, your well being, your hard earned tax dollar, the environment, etc. If the idea comes from Republicans, assume it is in their interest. Same for dems.

Those who care about the truth should be questioning why dems want vote by mail.

That is easy, Democrats want to prepare for the potential health risk to voters

You have to have an official residence to vote no mater how you vote, and ballots can be mailed to a post office box if you are on the road

They don't want it to be easy to vote.

I couldn't believe Republicans forced people in WI to choose between their health and safety, and their right to vote.

Republicans - Not the Party of Reagan, we want a very tiny white tent filled with bibles and guns.

Funny how they can determine this without factoring in 45 other states :) The left is amazing at convincing themselves of things with just a fraction of the relevant data
