If it revolves, around the same easily found facts And Newsome's only answer to questions about his maladminstration of California is to call the questioner a Putin lover the debate will be the same.
Are you even serious here In Florida they do what they can to get them off the streets and try to help them. In California they call crapping in the streets a life style, and it is, increasingly. a death style choice as the number dead Homeless folk have increase every year for the last 3 or 4 years
Incorrect… both FL and CA are trying to do what they can to get people off the streets. https://www.gov.ca.gov/2021/09/29/g...-22-billion-housing-and-homelessness-package/ https://homelessvoice.org/floridas-work-to-end-homelessness/
Then why are they camping out all over the place? Both places are doing something, but its not an easy problem to solve, which is why it persists in both places. Its a lifestyle among the homeless here too. Death? They Brightline train down here is called the "meatgrinder" because it has ran over so many homeless folks in the short time that is has been in service. So, how do you stop them from coming to FL and CA? Its easier said than done, but its always easy to engage in partisan blame game, like DeSantis did, although we have 3rd most homeless in the nation.
You can't forcefully take homeless off the streets in the West. Post #19. In 2018, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit found removing anyone camping in a public space in its Western U.S. jurisdiction when there isn’t a shelter bed for them constitutes cruel and unusual punishment. That has made it difficult for cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco to clear their streets. If the city offers them beds, they can be removed from certain areas. Nobody is forced to go to the Cares Campus here, but homeless have been reduced by 58% since it opened two years ago. Downtown has been cleaned up. California has the resources and has spent billions, but apparently hasn't provided beds.
The whole thing was a strange idea. DeSantis is neck and neck with Haley, but he debates Newsom. I see no gain for anyone outside the sponsors. It's a step down from fighting the woke. DeSantis looks desperate.
Oh dear Newsome has been the heir apparent should the Biden campaign go disastrously wrong according to all the talking heads, left and right for some time now. And note the fact that even some leftist talking heads are talking about Newsome as a potential replace should inform you that a lot of the democrat smart money already thinks Biden's goose is cooked.
Not sure what debate you were watching: BUT: Newsome HELPED his cause immeasurably... DeSantis got his ass handed to him...
Last I checked florida isn't in the 9th's jurisdiction so they can. By the way the fact that such a purely stupid ruling hasn't been appealed should tell you everything you need to know about what a raging disaster CA, in general, and so Cal in particular is. California is rapidly becoming a place in which there are only two classes of people bureaucrats and the poor,
Sorry lies smears and calumny of the sort Newsome tried never help you long accept among those who are either too ignorant to know the truth or to partisan to care about it.
California is. I didn't mention Florida. Okay. Point is, they need to provide a bed before they can move people off the street. It's being done here. California cities need a better plan.
DeSantis isn’t about to catch Trump debate performance or not. Trump is currently at 62% in the polls for the GOP nomination. Biden is the democratic nominee for 2024, that isn’t about to change either. The debate didn’t do Newsom any harm or good. By next week, the debate will be all forgotten except by a few partisan political junkies. It will have become a non-event. Actually, it’s a non-even today for most of America with the same exception, a hand full of very partisan political junkies. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/e..._republican_presidential_nomination-7548.html https://www.realclearpolitics.com/e..._democratic_presidential_nomination-8171.html
It’s almost like FL doesn’t allow recalls for officials. So do tell @Shutcie — how would ronda be recalled if the state doesn’t allow it?
Well in florida they can impeach their governor. But nice try anyway. Tell me: do you think Newsome could carry Claifornia if he ran for president? I don't think so.
at one time I thought DeSantis had a chance, then he went way crazy right, he tried to out trump Trump, he did not realize most of the right want an alternative to Trump
I didn't even know they were having a debate. Was it worth the watch? I assume its prolly on youtube somewhere...
Wall Street has started taking note and talking and backing Haley. It's pretty clear the powers are covering all bases. The only question is, how many in the RNC power base are ready to dump Trump and back Haley.
