well, that's what he said.....and I don't know enough about it to give you my opinion, but he's never steered me wrong, but I'd bet you're right.
His wife cooks them with an apple and an orange and for Thanksgiving, she uses pineapple in her stuffing. Got a great persimmon pudding recipe from her. well, I should say my wife got it from her.............

I just got rid of my shotgun today. I bought it from my gunsmith and was just constantly having trouble with it. First the shell retainer stopped releasing the shell into the chamber. After the gunsmith fixed it for free the shell retainer wouldn't hold the shells in at all. After a second free repair job the shell retainer wouldn't feed again so the gunsmith bought a new shell retainer and installed it all at no cost to me. Today I took it to the range and the actuator bar on the pump broke after 50 years of wear and tear.

I got trade in credit for $75 less than what I originally put into it but for all the time and money he put into it I thought that was plenty fair. He ordered me a brand new Mossberg 500 and is only charging me the dealer cost from their distributor and shipping so basically he's also making no mark up profit on the new gun so this has been a big waste of his time and money. When all is said and done I will have paid out $375 total for everything.

Interesting idea about the freezing for tougher meat. Agreed on the cooking principle of stuffing with fruit (or vegetables like onions) to keep them moist when cooking. Works great for roast chicken and is part of the idea of beer can chicken. Can't see why it wouldn't work for wild birds too!
