We should also make the crossing of a non-citizen into the country without the proper authorization a crime. I wish that someday, our gov. would ask for help from the FBI and they would give her the finger.

Including the evil 16oz sodas outlawed by the liberal hero and gun confiscation crusader Bloomberg.

All is not lost, even after the Governor signs the bill; as she is such an advocate of following the laws.

    NMSA 1-17-2. Referendum petitions; form.

The petition and order for referendum shall be in the following form:

    "PETITION FOR REFERENDUM

There is a simple answer to sway her opinion on that issue.
As the illegals cross the border and cry 'asylum'; process their application, put them on a bus and drop them off outside the roundhouse in Santa Fe or better still, outside the Governors house. I believe after the fist thousand or so begin wandering the neighborhood she will act 8)

Do all politicians lie? Do all Democratic politicians lie? Do they lie all of the time? Do all Republican politicians tell the truth? Do they tell the truth all the time?

They're talking about this on local talk radio, 72,000 petition signatures are needed for a referendum against the universal background check bill, should be not problem getting that many, and if it gets on the ballot the consensus here is universal background checks will be overturned.

    :)

At least Bloomberg is too smart to take on Trump in 2020

THE END OF MIKE BLOOMBERG’S PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRATIONS. I remember when a lot of NeverTrumpers were saying that Bloomberg would wipe the floor with Trump if he ran. Apparently, Bloomberg concluded otherwise.

Funny how the liberals ignored Bloomberg's unconstitutional "stop and frisk", a variation of "walking while black."

    Nope!

Since the Clinton Assault Weapons Ban, Democrats, just like James Carville warned, have lost nearly every state with a strong hunting culture.

Stop and frisk is perfectly constitutional. Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 [1968], is still very good law, in fact, in Heien v. North Carolina, SCOTUS, 8–1 (2014) expanded the reasonable suspicion factor of the Terry stop to cover a police officer's reasonable mistake of law that gives rise to "reasonable suspicion" that justifies a traffic stop under the Fourth Amendment.

Constitutional when 90 percent of those frisked are young black men who are stopped and frisked for walking while black? Racial profiling is not Constitutional.

The United States Supreme Court holds that the Fourth Amendment prohibition on unreasonable searches and seizures is not violated when a police officer stops a suspect on the street and frisks him or her without probable cause to arrest, if the police officer has a reasonable suspicion that the person has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime and has a reasonable belief that the person "may be armed and presently dangerous."

For their own protection, after a person has been stopped, police may perform a quick surface search of the person's outer clothing for weapons if they have reasonable suspicion that the person stopped is armed. This reasonable suspicion must be based on "specific and articulable facts" and not merely upon an officer's hunch. This permitted police action has subsequently been referred to in short as a "stop and frisk," or simply a "Terry frisk". The Terry standard was later extended to temporary detentions of persons in vehicles, during traffic stops.

The rationale behind the Supreme Court decision revolves around the understanding that the exclusionary rule is to protect persons from unreasonable searches and seizures aimed at gathering evidence, not searches and seizures for other purposes such as the prevention of crime or personal protection of police officers.

A petition on the counter of every gun store in the State should get that many signatures in a weekend.
But let's also have a closer look at all the other anti gun laws already on the books that we could get repealed while we're at it.

If a politician says something, then it's safe to assume they're lying until proven otherwise. Especially when it comes to Democrats and gun control.

And when it comes to Republicans and gun control. It is best to assume exaggeration and possibly lying until reasonable confirmation with every politician and internet commentator.
