These are the sons of Abraham who went to the Arabian Peninsula Sons of Abraham by Keturah In Chronicles 1, Keturah is referred to as Abrahams concubine, meaning a woman taken for the purpose of bearing sons. She is later referred to as a wife showing a change in status (cf. Gen. 25:1). She obviously became Abrahams second wife perhaps on the death of Sarah, but it may have been beforehand. 1Chronicles 1:32-33 The sons of Ketu'rah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Mid'ian, Ishbak, and Shu'ah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan. 33 The sons of Mid'ian: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Elda'ah. All these were the descendants of Ketu'rah. (RSV) The sons of Keturah came to be organised into a sub-group of six tribes, a major element of which was Midian that occupied the east and south of the area of Palestine. This view was adopted as fact by the Hebrews and we may thus take it as reasonably certain (see Interpreters Dictionary of the Bible, art. the whole page is a mixture of truth and a diversion of the truth. that's impossible to dodge the bullets of misconception. that's not the way, i would say. it's interesting how people read and believe things on a random internet page than reading qur'an with full sincerity and attention. researching is a very good exercise. i would recommend libraries though. regards.

You see what I am trying to study and I am too blind to drive anymore so I can't go to a library.. I want information on the development of the families descended from the sons of Hagar and Keturah.. and in particular the towns they may have founded on the Arabian peninsula as it was recognised 3 thousand years ago.
i live in istanbul, turkey. i will try to check the academical or historical info you requested. but; 1) we might not have the best ressources in our libraries 2) it might take time. do you have a term paper or personal interest?
I thought you might live in Turkey. Personal interest...... a lifetime of studying the ME and its ancient history..
i'm not interested about the subject myself. i will look it up when i go the library insaAllah. take care.
