Have you seen those Gulf tourism ads BP sponsors on TV? You sour too?

It sorta pisses me off. I see these ads on TV promoting Gulf Coast tourism with pictures of beautiful beaches, happy fishermen, thriving wetlands, etc. I thought, “Nice ads”, but then they ended with “Sponsored by BP”.

These ads then pissed me off since BP almost ruined it all and are boasting how they have restored it sorta well.

See, BP is just trying to polish its image which was devastated by their oil spill, the largest in human history

Of course their ad didn’t mention that the adverse environmental impact of the spill won’t be fully known for years so nice beach scenes now are a bit premature, but a hint of this impact already evident is the large number of dead, baby dolphins being found.

I thought that I am alone in my negative reaction to these BP ads, but found a similar, negative reaction at these sites too

Why don't you want the gulf coast to recover?
