Source: Two 'rogue' workers principally behind IRS targeting of conservatives

Washington (CNN) -- The Internal Revenue Service has identified two "rogue" employees in the agency's Cincinnati office as being principally responsible for "overly aggressive" handling of requests by conservative groups for tax-exempt status, a congressional source told CNN.
In a meeting on Capitol Hill, acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller described the employees as being "off the reservation," according to the source. It was not clear precisely what the alleged behavior involved.
Miller said the staffers have already been disciplined, according to another source familiar with Miller's discussions with congressional investigators. The second source said Miller emphasized that the problem with IRS handling of tax-exempt status for tea party groups was not limited to these two employees.

Well, just rogue IRS employees, I guess this whole thing can be put to rest. Its not like we can expect accountability anyway. Do they really expect us to buy this garbage? Is there no accountability in this administration? I see none, nor do I see any integrity, but then again I have some standards, and this administration seems to lack those as well...

If rogues are involved, why have heads not rolled?

Let's get the rogues on the stand.

Unless we see them in prison uniforms this is not good enough.

Who are they and when are they going to jail?

    Sure.

If they want to claim they were only following orders then who gave the orders?

Send them to jail and then see if they want to talk.

If not let them stay in jail.

Well... CNN has been under fire recently for being too "fair and balanced"

They got a lot of flack for having the audacity to demonstrate that the Bush haters had it wrong (which is true... the reason to hate Bush is that he spent like a drunk sailor). They are trying to win back their base. They also just tried to create a scandal about the Benghazi emails.

OK - now I'm confused. Did "sources" indicate that Miller said that two rogues have been identified but that the problem wasn't limited to these two???

If you believe it was only two employees then I've got some ocean front property in Arizona I'd like to talk to you about.

They are lying. They will continue to lie. Quite a lot of what they say will be total lies, half lies, lies of omission and subterfuge.

Here's what you can almost certainly believe: Confessions of guilt. "I did it." is likely true.

    All else is suspect.

You are correct and the cover up is struggling to keep a lid on things (and not doing too well).

Two rogue employees, what a joke. This was a systematic decision from the very top of the Obama administration.

I want to see Obama underlings like Valerie Jerret and David Plouffe hanging onto the helicoptor for dear life as it leaves the south lawn, like in the fall of Saigon. I can think of no more appropriate image for the downfall and evacuation of a crooked regime.

A little background on who's responsible for reporting to the president from the IRS. It's his own appointee. Just like in every govt agency, there's one leader, handpicked by the POTUS to keep him informed. The IRS position is called a Commissioner. Take a look at the recent history of IRS Commissioners.

Makes you wonder what Obama planned to do about appointing an IRS Commissioner in early June?

    Nah... nuthin suspicious here.

I don't buy it for a second that "2 rogue workers" were the only ones involved. Threaten them with 20 years in a federal penitentiary, then maybe they'll name names.

I'd love to add perspective to this conversation but, let's face it, the nuts are on a roll. Like a crazy dog with a big bone they're gonna rip at this thing and at anyone who tries to tell them their bone just isn't as tasty as they think.

They don't want to hear about Citizens United and the thousands of "non-political" groups it bought to pass.
They don't want to hear about the IRS decision to centralize certification of these groups to try and achieve efficiencies.
They don't want to hear about the agents who decided profiling would be a good way to uncover groups in violation of the law. Despite the fact that they love profiling when it's done by race or religion (except Christian).
All they want to hear is that Obama took a trip to Cincinnati and personally directed IRS agents to target conservative groups while eating a cheese coney and holding a sack of White Castles.

    They'll be disappointed yet again.

Personally, I think the actions in the Cincinnati office are abominable. But that's because I think profiling any group for any reason is wrong.

Next time you guys talk about shipping all the Muslims out of the country perhaps you'll remember your "rage" here.

Dude, you do realize that President Millhouse Obama just took time off from his golf game and fired the Acting Director of the IRS......and you sincerely believe that this scandal has to do with two "rogue employees" sitting in cubicles in Cincinnati...........LMFAO...........
